“This is the last weekend someone in the USA will have all 10 fingers.” 🧨🖐️
Funny saying — but sadly, it’s true every 4th of July.

Fireworks injuries are no joke. 🚑 Every year, people — especially kids — end up in the ER with burns, lost fingers, or worse.

👀 Parents: Keep a close eye on your children.
🍻 Adults: Put the drinks down if you're lighting fireworks.

Let’s end the holiday weekend with all fingers, limbs, and eyesight intact. 🙌🎆👁️

And btw, happy July 4th! 🎇🍔🗽

🚨 JUDGE MIKE CARTER: WENTZVILLE STUDENTS COULD FACE CRIMINAL CHARGES FOR SCHOOL FIGHTS 🚓📚
Justice & Journalism with Judge Mike Carter
The Wentzville School District has adopted a controversial update to its student code of conduct: any assault at school by grades 6–12 students will trigger peace disturbance charges and 5–10 days out-of-school suspension — even first-time offenses. Elementary students could also be charged.

🧾 Assault = any physical attack, provoked or not.

Though the district says charges “will be filed”, they now admit it’s under review and not necessarily automatic. Critics say the policy leans hard into “zero tolerance” discipline and risks pushing kids into the criminal system — a major concern for advocates battling the school-to-prison pipeline.

👮‍♂️ Police officers (SROs) are already stationed in Wentzville schools and would make the final call.

The new policy, approved June 18, is stirring statewide debate.

Is this accountability — or criminalization?

JUDGE MIKE CARTER: THE COLLAPSE OF COUPONS — WHY AMERICANS STOPPED CLIPPING, COMPARING, AND CARING
Justice & Journalism with Judge Mike Carter
The old coupon economy is dying fast. 📉 As this WSJ chart shows, U.S. coupon distribution—once over 300 billion annually—has nosedived. Why? Digital spending habits. 💳 Americans now rely on credit card points and app-based loyalty rewards. Shoppers are too busy to compare prices, 🕒 let alone drive across town for deals. And many have just accepted that everything costs more now.

It’s not just inflation—it’s a cultural shift.

JUDGE MIKE CARTER: AI IS EATING THE GRID — COMMERCIAL COMPUTING DEMAND TO SURGE PAST COOLING & VENTILATION
Justice & Journalism with Judge Mike Carter
Data is the new oil—and it’s guzzling power. ⚡️ According to the EIA, electricity use from commercial computing (think AI servers, cloud processing, etc.) is set to overtake space cooling and ventilation before 2050.

While lighting and refrigeration hold steady, computing is rocketing upward. 📈 As America races to lead in AI, the energy bill is coming due.

This isn’t a tech trend—it’s an infrastructure reckoning.

JUDGE MIKE CARTER: WHO REALLY POWERS MISSOURI? TOP JOB SECTORS REVEALED
Justice & Journalism with Judge Mike Carter
Missouri’s economy runs on care, service, and stability. 🏥👩‍🏫🍔
In 2022, Health Care and Social Assistance led the state in employment with over 408,000 workers. Government jobs came in second, followed by retail, manufacturing, and food service.

These aren’t just numbers—they’re the backbone of our state. When we talk about policy, budgets, or infrastructure, this is who we’re talking about.

🎥 JUDGE MIKE CARTER LISTENS AS ELLIOTT DAVIS IS OVERCOME WITH EMOTION RECOUNTING THE DAY HIS CAMERAMAN WAS SHOT
Justice & Journalism with Judge Mike Carter

This is one of the most powerful and vulnerable moments ever captured from legendary journalist Elliott Davis.

In a gripping interview, Judge Mike Carter asks Davis about the hardest moments of his career. What follows is chilling.

Davis recalls a 2004 investigation into a corrupt towing company tied to a drug gang—so dangerous, he says, they put a contract out on his life.

While filming on location, Davis heard what sounded like distant “pops.” Moments later, his cameraman Larry Washington walked up and quietly said, “I’m shot.”

The emotion hits Davis hard. He pauses. Struggles. And the trauma of that day floods back in real time.

This is a raw, unfiltered reminder of the danger brave journalists face to bring truth to light.

ELLIOTT DAVIS TO JUDGE CARTER: IT WASN'T A BURDEN, IT WAS MY AMBITION.
Justice & Journalism with Judge Mike Carter
In this powerful exchange, host Judge Mike Carter asks veteran investigative journalist and community leader Elliott Davis TV if he ever felt burdened by the immense responsibility he carried to the community.

Elliott's answer is a masterclass in perspective. He emphatically states, "I never felt burdened," explaining that his ambition was always to help people, to be out there, and to get problems solved. For him, being a visible advocate wasn't a weight to carry, but the very mission he set out to accomplish.

He flips the script on the common narrative of influence, showing that when your work is aligned with your passion for service, it becomes a source of energy and purpose, not a drain.
