But hark, what be this "Aetherworks" thou dost inquire? In ancient lore and mystic traditions, the term "Aether" referreth to the quintessence, the pure essence that doth fill the heavens and bind the universe. It symbolizeth creativity, inspiration, and the ethereal connection 'twixt the mortal realm and the divine. As my drone soared above the quaint streets of Cotulla, Texas, I captured this remarkable image that speaks volumes about our town's heritage and character. Dominating the frame is the iconic water tower, proudly bearing the name 'Cotulla', a symbol of our communal identity and resilience.

But what truly captures the spirit of our town is the mural of Mr. Cotulla, the town's namesake, etched in the annals of history and painted with reverence on a wall behind the tower. This artistic tribute is a reminder of the foundations upon which our community is built.

In the backdrop lies historic Front Street, a picturesque testament to Cotulla's enduring charm. The old buildings, standing as silent witnesses to the passage of time, are a mosaic of stories and memories, each brick and window a narrative of the past.

Yesterday's sun hath set, yet in its lingering glow, I find myself drawn to the remembrance of a venerable matron of our lineage, the esteemed Adelina Rodriguez. Born upon the thirteenth day of September in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and nineteen, within the bounteous bounds of Texas, her tale commenced. Her earthly sojourn concluded on the seventh day of January, in the year nineteen hundred and ninety-four, in the land of Frio County, yet her legacy endures, rich and profound.

Resting in eternal repose within the hallowed grounds of Cristo Rey Cemetery in Cotulla, her spirit yet whispers through the leaves, a gentle reminder of the indelible imprint she hath left upon our hearts.

Though this homage comes a day delayed, the message bears no less weight. Let it be known to all, that Adelina, and those ancestors who ventured beyond the mortal coil before us, are not lost in the mists of time. They continue to live amongst us in the stories we share, the wisdom they imparted, and the love they nurtured.
