came through strong at in Westlake. took gold in his first ever competition. Beautiful RNC in his first match. Lance battled through an injury early on and still won all three matches in dominant fashion. takes gold with a near perfect performance on route to RNC and a nasty knee bar. takes gold in both no gi and gi with multiple signature smothers 🥛. He also showcased a nice triangle arm bar.

Additionally, I want to take note of our members who put it all out there. Alot of tough matches. .garcia224 and Colin. For most you, your first time competing! You guys inspired me with your grit, determination, technique and the will to test yourselves. Wins and losses alike, thrilled to see you guys out there. Very proud of you all, we are developing an incredible team!

earned his well deserved purple belt. Steve has been ready for his purple for some time. A few months back he received an injury that has put him out of commission. In spite of this he shows up multiple days a week to watch, learn and absorb. I think this exemplifies dedication. I always tell injured students, in spite of the injury, still show up. Keep learning, keep your mind active, keep taking notes, keep absorbing technique. If you stop attending, your game starts to atrophy. Steve took this advice to heart, and has been one of the most consistent members in spite of injury. ☝️👌🌎

10th Planet Thousand Oaks blue belt joins the brown belt quintet team for the Mat Beast 5 tournament! Eric showed off a dominant display of passing, pinning and of course… smothering! One win via RNC and one via his signature Mother’s Milk 🍼🐄

Team 10th Planet Ventura County took home🏅 and the $2000! Big thanks to everyone and everyone else on the team!

Also want to thank for putting on the event and for making the greatest jiu jitsu association in the world. ☝️👌

Congratulations to on his well earned purple belt. David was a core member of 10th Planet Santa Barbara, he’s been coming regularly for over a year now to 10p Thousand Oaks. David has developed a very well rounded game. I’m pleased to see his continued growth and we are proud to have him here at the gym. 🔥😎
