October is Pink October, a month to honor, educate, and take action.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is about more than wearing pink. It’s about prioritizing your health, encouraging others to do the same, and supporting early detection through regular screenings.

Live Well Northshore, a free community health event happening Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Covington Trailhead.

This event offers cancer screenings for breast, colorectal, prostate, and skin cancer; giving our community a chance to take proactive steps toward wellness.

I don’t always know how to talk about this. It’s vulnerable. It’s raw. And for a long time, I stayed quiet because I didn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable. But here's the truth: faith helped save my life, alongside therapy, medication, and professionals who knew how to guide me through.

God didn’t just fix everything. He gave me the strength to open the door to real help. To say yes to healing. To let others in. And now, I feel deeply called to use my voice and my story to speak about things that matter:

☆ Mental health and faith-based recovery
☆ The importance of su***de prevention and awareness
☆ Spiritual surrender in the face of personal struggle
☆ Finding purpose through faith and professional support

This isn’t about choosing between God and doctors. It’s about choosing both, and knowing that divine strength can lead us to the right people, the right resources, and the right healing.

Located in the heart of Downtown Covington, The Healing House is more than a venue; it’s a sanctuary for mind, body, and spirit. Home to a collective of wellness practitioners, it offers everything from therapy and energy work to massage, mindfulness practices, and holistic healing. With its serene setting and welcoming atmosphere, it’s a place where transformation and community connection come together.

On October 5th at 5PM, I’m honored to step into this space to share my talk, “Find the Courage to Begin Again.” I’ll be opening up about resilience, faith, mental health, and healing, reminding us all that no matter what we’ve faced, our stories aren’t over.
