I’ve been reading, tasting and thinking about Ruth Reichl’s cookbook; My Kitchen Year: 136 Recipes that Saved My Life for the past couple of months. I’m getting ready for next week’s cooking class and a “Cookbook Book Club” discussion. I have a lot of recipes flagged to make and this morning I am going to riff on her Apricot Brown Butter Oatmeal. This personal and touching memoir, with recipes has been enjoyable to read. And to fully immerse yourself in Ruth’s world try one of her novels, I enjoyed The Paris Novel, or one of her several memoirs. It’s been fun spending time with Ruth during the cold and unpredictable spring! Join me next Thursday for a warm and comforting meal at the teaching kitchen (link in bio) and grab a copy of her books at !
