Did you know the “Barnum of the Rivers” once lived right here in Northern Kentucky?

Ralph Emerson Gaches, born Ralph Gaches but better known by his showboat persona, ran a fleet of riverboats that inspired the novel "Showboat." He spent part of his life in NKY and Cincinnati before later moving to Chicago.
