🤠 COUNTRY MUSIC OWNS BILLBOARD’S TOP THREE SONGS OF SUMMER

Country music has swept the top three spots on Billboard’s Songs of the Summer chart.

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” takes the number-one spot. The song is also spending its 21st week at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, putting it just one week away from tying Mariah Carey for the longest-leading song in the chart’s history.

Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” comes in at number two on the Songs of the Summer chart, followed by another Ella Langley hit, “Be Her,” at number three.

🎸 GEORGE STRAIT TO RECEIVE CAREER MAKER AWARD

A big honor is coming for the King of Country Music.

George Strait will receive the Career Maker Award at the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame celebration on October 26.

And there’s a pretty good reason: George has helped more than 40 songwriters achieve induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Only one other artist has received the Career Maker Award—Reba McEntire, back in 2018.

🎤 DIERKS BENTLEY HEADLINING JUSTICE JAM

Dierks Bentley will headline the inaugural Justice Jam concert in Nashville on October 27.

Dierks is partnering with the Tennessee Innocence Project, which provides legal services aimed at freeing people who have been wrongfully convicted.

Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready is also scheduled to perform as part of the event.

🎸 MEGAN MORONEY’S FIRST GUITAR CAME AFTER HER FIRST HEARTBREAK

Turns out a little heartbreak helped put Megan Moroney on the road to country music.

Megan says that when she was 16, she injured her knee while cheerleading and suddenly had plenty of time on her hands. Around the same time, she went through her first heartbreak.

Her dad eventually took her to Guitar Center, where she got her first Taylor guitar—and she started learning to play.

So apparently heartbreak plus a guitar can sometimes work out pretty well after all.

❤️ ZACH BRYAN GIVES HIS GUITAR TO A DAD AND HIS BABY

And Zach Bryan created a pretty special moment during his show Saturday night in Arizona.

Zach spotted a father holding his baby near the barricade and decided to give the dad his acoustic guitar.

But there was one condition: Zach asked him to promise that when the baby gets older, the guitar will be passed along to the child.

Not a bad concert souvenir—and quite a story for that little one someday.
