Hey lovelies ❤️
If you go to the hospital whether to visit someone or for yourself please try not to dey touch touch everything o!
Even if you’re greeting, praying, or helping out, remember: once you step out, wash your hands well before doing anything else.

You honestly don’t want to know the kind of things that go on in hospitals 😩.
Take it from someone who spends half her life there; you fit carry something go house without knowing!

Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAI) are real! 🦠
Stay safe, my people 🙏🏾

You know that thing we say when someone is going through something hard:
“Be strong.” 😩

It sounds nice, but truth be told, sometimes that’s not what the person needs to hear.
Because they’re already tired of being strong!

They’ve been “strong” since last year.
Strong through heartbreak.
Strong through bills.
Strong through family wahala.
Strong through silent tears nobody sees.

At some point, the body and mind go say, “Madam, we don try!” 😭

Sometimes people don’t need “Be strong.”
They need:
💬 “I’m here if you want to talk.”
💬 “You don’t have to handle this alone.”
💬 “It’s okay to rest.”
💬 “You’re allowed to feel tired.”
💬 “You’ve done your best, take a break.”

Because strength is not pretending everything is fine.
Strength is admitting when you’re not. ❤️

So next time someone is struggling, don’t throw “Be strong” like Panadol.
Sit with them. Listen.
Sometimes your quiet presence is the real medicine.

💫How to Care for an Episiotomy (V@ginal Cut) After Birth💫

Mamas, if you had a small cut or tear “down there” during delivery, proper care helps you heal faster and stay infection-free. 💖

Here’s how to care for it 👇🏽
✨ Keep the area clean, rinse gently with warm water after peeing or using the toilet.

✨ Pat dry (don’t rub!) with a clean towel or tissue.

✨ Change your pads often.

✨ Sit on a soft cushion or use a sitz bath to relieve soreness.

✨ Avoid tight clothing; let air flow freely.

✨ Take your prescribed pain meds or antibiotics if given.

Remember, pain that worsens, foul-smelling discharge, or swelling are red flags 🚩 contact your doctor right away.

Your body just did something powerful. Be gentle with it. 💕

The Story of Ochanya and Understanding VVF

In the case of little Ochanya, the young girl who was graped by a father and his son. she later kpaid from complications of something called VVF.
You’re probably wondering… what exactly is VVF?

VVF, short for Vesicovaginal Fistula, is a hole that forms between a woman’s bladder and her v@gina. This hole causes uncontrollable leakage of urine, leaving the woman constantly wet and smelling of urine. It’s heartbreaking not just physically, but emotionally too.

Many women who suffer from VVF are rejected, mocked, or abandoned by their families and communities because of the smell and shame. Some hide indoors for years, believing they’re cursed when in truth, they’re suffering from a medical condition that can be treated.

VVF often happens when a woman goes through prolonged or difficult labor without proper medical help. The baby’s head presses against the birth canal for too long, cutting off blood supply and destroying tissue between the bladder and v@gina.
It can also occur from s3xual violence, as in Ochanya’s case, where her reproductive system was severely damaged by repeated assault.

The painful truth is that VVF is preventable.
It can be avoided through:

Proper antenatal care

Delivery in hospitals with skilled health workers

Discouraging child marriage, because very young girls have birth canals that aren’t fully developed

And above all, education helping people understand that this is a health issue, not a spiritual attack or curse.

The good news is that VVF can be repaired through surgery, and many women have regained their dignity and confidence after treatment.
But we must first talk about it so more women can seek help instead of suffering in silence.

Ochanya’s story should remind us that every girl deserves protection, access to healthcare, and a chance to live with dignity. 💔

Let’s spread awareness.
Let’s speak for those who can’t.

“Should Every Pregnant Woman Get a Cerclage?”

Many women hear “cerclage” during pregnancy and panic but what exactly is it?

A cerclage is a small surgical stitch used to close the cervix when it opens too early during pregnancy (a condition called cervical incompetence).
It helps prevent miscarriage or preterm birth — but it’s not for everyone.

✅ When it’s needed:

If you’ve had 2 or more miscarriages in the second trimester.

If an ultrasound shows your cervix is shortening early.

If your cervix has opened without contractions in a past pregnancy.

🚫 When it’s not needed:

Routine pregnancies without any cervical issues.

When the cervix is already too open for a stitch to hold.

When there’s infection, bleeding, or ruptured membranes.

🩷 In short: Cerclage saves lives but only when medically necessary.
Always talk with your obstetrician before deciding. Every pregnancy is unique.

Using Hair Relaxers During Pregnancy — Safe or Risky?

Many pregnant women still fix their hair and use relaxers after all, we want to look good even with the baby bump! 😅
But here’s what you should know before your next retouch 👇

Hair relaxers contain chemicals like lye and formaldehyde, which can be absorbed through the scalp and inhaled through fumes.

👶 Possible risks (especially with frequent use):

May increase risk of hormone disruption.

Can irritate your scalp and open skin absorbs more chemicals.

Some studies suggest a link to low birth weight or developmental issues, though research is still ongoing.

✅ Safer choices:

Wait until after the first trimester (when baby’s organs are forming).

Always use in a well-ventilated space.

Avoid if your scalp has wounds or burns.

Consider natural hairstyles or protective styles until after delivery.

👩‍🍼 Pregnancy is already a big job for your body, don’t add extra stress with harsh chemicals. Let your baby cook in peace while you rock your natural glow. ✨

Some of you are busy buying flowers for someone who just wants you to wash plate. 😩💐

You’re there shouting “I love you!” but the person is waiting for “Have you eaten?” 😭

You’re speaking touch, they’re hearing data subscription.
You’re speaking gifts, they’re hearing help me sweep the sitting room.

Oga, madam…
Do you really know your partner’s love language or you’re just doing freestyle? 🤔

Sometimes, the relationship no dey sweet because we’re loving people the wrong way.
You’re shouting, “But I do everything!”
Meanwhile, they’re like, “Everything except what I actually need!” 😭

So before you buy that 10k perfume, maybe ask:
“Babe, how do I love you wrongly?” 💭
You fit save your money and your peace! 😂

So apparently, everyone is getting ready for Halloween…
Meanwhile, me, I’m just here wondering why I should celebrate people dressing like witches, zombies, and things that chase me in dreams 😭

They said, “Dira, it’s just for fun!”
Fun ke? How will I explain to my village people that I wore black lipstick and horns in the name of “fun”? 😩

Where I come from, if you see someone wearing white powder and blood for face, you don’t say “nice costume.”
You say, “The Lord rebuke you!” 😂

Don’t get me wrong o, I love children having fun and collecting sweets, but this particular one ehn…
My spirit no dey flow with it.
I can handle Christmas, Easter, even Valentine.
But Halloween? My heart says no, my upbringing says abomination, and my village ancestors say better behave yourself! 😭😂

So yes, I’ll pass on this one.
If you see me off my lights on 31st, abeg, just know I’m protecting my destiny. 😂🙈

Who else is in this category?
Halloween no just dey enter your spirit, abi it’s just me? 👀👇🏽
