Renna Media is owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Joe and Tina Renna. They presently publish twelve community newspapers in Union, Somerset and Morris counties. The publications are “hyper-local” in nature in that they contain information that is focu

sed on the town they are published in. The newspapers are mailed for free to residents and businesses as well as distributed to locations for free pick-up. The concept of being hyper-local is to give local businesses a venue to promote events and advertise their services. News from each department of the town’s administration that is important to the residents is also accommodated. Community service organizations are also encouraged to submit news of upcoming events or reports on recent events for publication. The hyper-local design gives businesses the highest value for their advertising dollars. The newspapers are designed (black ink on newsprint) to keep the cost of an advertisement to as low as $50 for a business card size ad. A discount is also applied for those businesses involved in their local Chamber of Commerce. Regional businesses can take advantage of one low rate for being in multiple publications.

If you haven't already heard, Springfield Recreation Department's Running Club is back this Fall! Running Club features an 8-week schedule with your choice of one or two classes per week, or both! Physical fitness training is an important life lesson for all children and young athletes. In the Running Club, children learn to run faster over short distances. Agility drills and injury prevention techniques will also be covered, as well as an introduction to endurance running. The Running Club is open to Springfield, New Jersey - Union County residents and children in Springfield Public Schools. A minimum number of children is required. Space is limited. In the event of inclement weather, every effort will be made to reschedule one joint make-up class. Little Wonders Workshop is back this fall! Children ages 2 to 4 with their caregivers, and ages 5-10 for drop-off, are invited to join Little Wonders Workshop at the Chisholm Community Center in Springfield, New Jersey - Union County in partnership with the Springfield Recreation Department. We'll explore a new science topic each week with experiments and crafts, story time, sensory bins, and other age-appropriate activities. Little Wonders Workshop is held on Saturdays 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/19, 11/9, 11/16, and 11/23, at 10:00 am (ages 2-4) and 11:00 am (ages 5-10). Class sizes are limited.
