Scouting For Food Pickup November 1st!
Remember to put your bags of donated food outside on your porch before 9am tomorrow morning (Saturday, Nov. 1) as part of the annual Scouting for Food event throughout town. The food helps to restock the shelves at Cranford Family Care, which has seen the number of clients helped go from 33 to more than 100. You can also drop off food at the Cranford Fire Dept, which delivers to Cranford Family Care.
Cranford Family Care offers financial and grocery assistance to Cranford families who need a bridge during hard times.

Vinyl record sales continue this weekend to raise money for the families of Maria and Bella
An eye-popping $12,000 was raised last weekend in the pop up vinyl records and CD sales event put together by Cranford resident Rich Russo. Russo is a musicologist, DJ, advertiser and big ideas man, who has the guts to see his visions through. His latest venture, a record pop up on North Union Ave where the former site of Beyond Dance is, drew hundreds of people in its first weekend, some as far away as Philadelphia. His goal is to raise tons of money for the families of Bella and Maria, whose deaths brought deep grief and anger to Cranford's families.
The pop up will be open again this weekend, starting today, Oct. 31, through Sunday. Most records are $5, but there are a handful of rare items that go for more.
A bake sale at the pop up also raised $1,800 and will return this weekend as well.
This weekend's hours are today, 3pm to 8pm; Saturday, 10am to 3pm and Sunday noon to 4pm

Monster Mash Cereal Dash cancelled due to impending storm, but 800 cereal boxes are donated

Unfortunately, due to tomorrow's weather forecast, we’re unable to hold the Monster Mash Cereal Dash safely and need to cancel the event. A very big thank you to the members of Cranford Fire Department for collecting and storing the cereal, as well as transporting it to Cranford Family Care. We know the Monster Mash Cereal Dash is Fire Chief Czeh’s favorite event of the year and he’s as disappointed as we are about its cancellation! However, though the domino dash won’t take place, 800 boxes of cereal will be given to local families in need thanks to the generosity of the local community. A reminder that items can be dropped off year-round in the Cranford Family Care Donation Drop Box in the lobby of fire headquarters.

CRANFORD OEM: In anticipation of a weather system entering our area within the next 24 hours, the Township of Cranford’s Office of Emergency Management is asking residents to ensure that storm drains near their homes remain free of debris or leaves. Please remember to only put leaf piles into the roadway in accordance with the DPW’s leaf pick-up schedule to avoid pooling of water. The Cranford Board of Education, Oct. 27, 2025.
During this meeting, the board hired a new high school principal, Dr. Gina Donlevie, principal of West Essex Middle School, to take over for Mark Cantagallo, who becomes district superintendent Jan. 1. It also discussed its HIB report, New Jersey Schools Learning Assessment results, gave an update on the referendum, and accepted a $45,000 check from the Cranford Fund for Educational Excellence for projects within the district.
