You went in for toilet paper. One thing.
And somehow you're standing in the middle of the store — cart sideways across the aisle, a sample line like it's a nightclub, lights too bright for no reason — irritable, scattered, and ready to cry over paper towels.
For years, I called that anxiety too.
But sometimes it isn't anxiety or fear. Sometimes your brain is just taking in more than it can sort — the lights, the noise, forty decisions at once, all at the same time with no off switch. That's not fear. That's sensory overload. That's a system at capacity.
And a full system doesn't need a pep talk. Sometimes it just needs the door.
Sometimes you don't need to manage your anxiety better. You need to leave Costco. 🛒
Where's YOUR Costco — the place your system always seems to fill up? Tell me below. 👇
