🤔✋🏽If you ever wonder, full-time RV parents, if the choice you made to sell it all, explore the country, and in our case build out a school bus, had a profound effect on who your kids would grow to become, I present to you our youngest wanderer in 2016 and now in 2026. Shy of turning 3 helping his Dad build Wander Bus and now weeks shy of 13 helping his Dad build a work bench/makers space. This will be a space so that H, like his Dad, can continue to build, create and turn blank canvases into adventure mobiles or Star Wars universes or works of art or as much slime as his heart can handle. All the things he used to do on picnic tables when we traveled full-time.
Our kids are sponges. They are shaped by our choices. Do not let anyone out there tell you that taking your kids on the road was or is bad parenting, or that you are keeping them from friends or a social life or any of the other garbage people hurled at us for over seven years. It’s your family and your journey and you will always know, together, the best path. Off the road three years now, RVing like “normies” and somehow, despite all the keyboard warriors assuring us they would be socially dysfunctional, our kids survived, transitioned and are thriving, just like they did on the road. Funny.
Go live your best life. It was the best decision for seven years and then it was the best decision to put down roots. ❤️
