The radio drama, "Unshackled", has been around since 1950. Sunday night will be there first video livestream. It was a lot of fun working on this one.

This documentary is about someone who removes tattoos off trafficked women and former gang members. Extremely interesting journey making it. Some beautiful stories are told.
I received a Chicago/Midwest Emmy as associate producer of this documentary. I arranged interviews with the FBI in Chicago and got us inside Cook County Jail. I also shot a majority of the footage and sweetened the audio in post.

Check it out. We made a half hour version of the Pacific Garden Mission television program. Greater Chicago Broadcast Ministries’ Sanctuary program highlighted PGM the entire month of December, each Sunday at 12pm, on ABC’s Localish channel 7.2.

If you don’t know about PGM, watch. It is the oldest, largest homeless shelter in America. And the Gospel is at the heart.

It was an honor to be recognized by the Romanian Television Network tonight. I’ve had a long relationship with this Christian TV network. I even met my wife while I was directing their main program ‘95-‘97.

Today marks 3 full years on my own. It’s a clear milestone in my life where again God has proven His faithfulness in the midst of the unknown. Still today it is a faith walk doing my own business. There are no benefits and no paid vacation or sick time. It’s long hours and about 20% is unbillable. Clientele come and go. Some are steady. Some are intermittent.

Sounds great, right? Sign me up! But I love the independence. It’s hard either way, working for someone else or for yourself. The pressures are different. But I have the freedom to set my own schedule for my family and for giving back.

I’ve done some travel these three years (which is unusual since I traveled the US as a videographer when we were first married). I’ve been to Wisconsin, Dallas, Florida, Phoenix, LA, and DC. And I’ve worked remotely for folks in Texas, Nebraska, Indiana, Tennessee, and Georgia.

I’m not going to plug my business. But I do all the behind the scenes video stuff in video for broadcast, corporate, and mom & pops. 31 years in the biz. If you need a hand, let me know. Peace to you.
