SCOTLAND’S NEW NATIONAL AIRLINE UNVEILS THE "BLOWIN 737"

In a bold step for Scottish aviation and an even bolder one for bagpipe enthusiasts, Scotland has launched its first ever bagpipe shaped aircraft, The Blowin 737.

Shaped like a full set of bagpipes, the revolutionary plane lifts off to the unholy squawk of strained reeds, cruising through emotional turbulence and echoes of drunken ballads played off key.

Cabin pressure is regulated by retired pipers wheezing into the overhead vents. Whilst, the final approach is largely improvised based on local weather, whisky levels, the piper’s lung capacity, and the sound of the co-pilot shouting “HAUD ‘ER STEADY” from the cockpit, just violently enough to make the passengers exhale in fear, boosting the air balance levels of the flight.

In flight entertainment consists of Braveheart played on loop at full volume through the cabin’s chanter system. Subtitles unavailable. Emotions mandatory. No one will forget their first time on the Blowin 737, especially considering the risk to their hearing and whether their ears can survive the journey.

Sad news, Celtic Rock, the other band members and all the gear were stolen when the touring TV (a real one) was stolen from the storage yard.
We'll let you know if there's ever a GoFundMe page to replace the missing equipment.

Hi everyone, around 11:30 pm last night on Valentine’s Day, I received the best gift ever. An email from Scotland informing me that my audition and application to perform as a piper for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Pipes & Drums was successful. This year sees the Tattoo hit the milestone of its 75th anniversary. I can’t believe this will be my third year in a row to march onto the Esplanade with Pipers and Drummers from all around the world which I now call my friends. So on 22nd of July just one day after my birthday I will travel to Edinburgh to my second home as theres something magical about Edinburgh, for a month long adventure in Scotland filled with Bagpipes, laughs, friends and fond memories. One very proud and humbled Australian Piper.

We're thrilled to be in Dublin, Ireland for our 2024 Fan Tour with Hammond Tours - Ireland. We've arrived a little early in order to mitigate our jet lag and to raise a pint at The Bleeding Horse Pub with some fine attendees who are already beginning to trickle in!
