12 years ago today, I took a leap of faith and became the owner of a little salon with big dreams, relocated us, renovated at warp speed, & man was I scared to my core!

What started as a two chair setup in a space that once echoed with memories of dance classes has grown into something I never could’ve fully pictured but always hoped for. R Beauty has been my second home, my first ‘baby’, and today it’s also home to a team of five talented stylists, a loyal community, and an ever growing vision.

We might not be much from the outside & tucked into a part of town that some might pass by without a second glance. But this space holds something special! Passion, grit, growth, and genuine care for every person who walks through the door.

Today, we’re not just celebrating where we’ve been, we’re also celebrating what’s next: expanding into the rest of our building to give our team more space to thrive and better serve the clients we love.

To my stylists who believe in what we are and trusting me to lead this journey all while allowing me to lean in when times have been too heavy, to every guest who has trusted us, cried with us, laughed with us, and to the entire Southwest Iowa communities that continue to show up…THANK YOU, it’s because of YOU that I’m able to keep my heart in this for me, my team, & you! Here’s to 12 years of beauty, hustle, heart… and to all the years still to come!
