Burn Ban Update: Somerset County Commissioner President Charles Laird has announced that with the recent rain and forecasted rain this week, the outdoor burning ban will be lifted effective 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 18.

Countywide Burn Ban in effect
Effective immediately, Somerset County Commissioner President Charles Laird, on the advice of fire chiefs, has imposed a moratorium on all outside burning until sufficient rainfall is received.
The ban applies to all outdoor ignition sources including campfires, bonfires, fireworks, yard waste burning and other similar methods of open incineration.
