We are less than 4 days out from our collab camp trip out to Sam Rayburn Lake and the Angelina National Forest. We will be on the Zavalla side of the lake. Pins and coordinates are in the Event link on this page along with SETX overland page!

Sat, Jan 17th we will meet at Academy in Beaumont.
📍7130 Eastex Fwy, Beaumont, TX 77708.
⏰ Meet at 8:45 am, we will be wheels up, pulling out of Academy at 9:00am sharp.

Found some good camp spots that we can get plenty of rigs in. We can check them both out and decide which fits us better. (Not sure how many rigs will be camping that night)

We can run the couple of trails i scouted, those can be done in 2H. Depending on size of your rig, you might rub a small branch or two.

There is more to explore and I’d like to do so, so maybe we hit some light ones, then set camp up, and if more folks want to head out and explore more I’m open for that.

Pretty open game plan so feel free to come and go as you feel the need and explore where you feel comfortable.

Anyone wanting to caravan from Houston area, we can meet at the Fuel Max on 2100 in Crosby.

I plan to be wheels up from fuel max at 7:15 am.

There is plenty of area to explore either by vehicle or foot so dont be afraid to come out and join us!

Thinking about a quick day trip. Head out east, swing by a cigar lounge, grab a smoke, then hit some trails through the forest and do some exploring.

Start in Orange at the lounge, then head up through Big Thicket, and Angelina.
