We have a Brinkley G4100 that has the Waterless pTrap. This is how we removed and cleaned the one in our kitchen.

First step is to remove the 4 screws holding the cover on.

Second step is to remove the pTrap (the white piece).

Once removed we could see how nasty this piece gets. We have only been in this RV for 3 months.

The video shows how the rubber inside gets twisted and doesn’t allow the trap to close properly, which is why we get the nasty smells in the sink.

For those of you ordering a replacement, the size on ours is 1 ½”.
Once removed, you can see it has 3 pieces: a hard piece, a rubber piece and the plastic pipe itself.

When reassembling the hard piece should be on the opposite side of the rubber piece.

You can run water through it to see how it works, as the rubber portion opens when water flows through. If it works properly, it will stay closed and prevent smells from coming up through the sink.

I cleaned mine with a soft toothbrush and dawn liquid.

We removed the old Teflon tape and added new before reassembling.

The top coupler must be added first when you reassemble, push to make sure it clicks into place with the longer piece. Then screw the bottom and then the top. Make sure you add back the black seal that sits in the top of the white piece you removed.

Run a leak test before you put your cover back on.

Some campground stays are nice. Others leave you already planning your return before you’ve even pulled out of the site. Hill’s Landing RV Park in Cross, South Carolina, was definitely the latter.

We just spent a week there, and it was one of the most relaxing places we’ve ever stayed. Nestled right on the water, our site (H33) quickly became one of our favorite campsites to date. With a concrete pad, full hookups, beautiful waterfront views, and even a couple of visits from the local otters, it felt like our own little slice of paradise.

One of the things that stood out most was getting to chat with Tony, the owner. You can tell he, his wife, and their team have poured their hearts into this campground. Their hard work shows in every detail, and their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home.

The park offers everything you could need, including a laundry facility, bathhouse, fuel dock, boat ramp, walking trail, and a well-stocked general store with RV supplies and fishing gear. And then there’s the ice cream… honestly, some of the best we’ve ever had!

Places like this are why we love the RV lifestyle. Beautiful views, friendly people, peaceful days, and memories that stay with you long after you’ve left.

Hill’s Landing is definitely a place we’ll be returning to. Until then, we’ll keep adding memories to the wall and miles to the journey.

For our last night in Maryland we headed out to a baseball game in Baltimore. Once we arrived, way too early, it began to rain and at one point we almost left before it even started. Then we started seeing others arrive so we decided what the hell! Let’s go for it. The rain was only a drizzle at this point and by the time we entered the stadium the rain was gone.

We were surprised that several people had their dogs with them and as you’ll see from the pics they do a Simba cam and people hold their dogs up in the air unless you brought your Rottweiler, Great Dane or some other huge dog. It was cute to see the variety.

We enjoyed the food the most, eating the typical hot dog and peanuts as well as a very salty pretzel.

At the top of the sixth the score was 0-0 so to avoid the crowd afterwards, we left early. Before we could get out of hearing shot we heard the hit of a home run. I guess we just needed to leave so the Orioles could show off as they ended up winning 7-2.

Overall we had a good week in the Maryland/D.C. area. The campground we stayed at was easy to get in and out of and we would definitely stay here again if we make our way back this way again down the road.

Our final day in Washington, DC was a good one. We took the Metro into the city one last time and made our way to Union ...

Our final day in Washington, DC was a good one. We took the Metro into the city one last time and made our way to Union Station. I honestly wasn’t prepared for how magnificent the station was. The architecture alone was worth the visit.

After our time at the Capitol and the Library of Congress, we returned to Union Station for lunch before catching our final Metro ride back to the campground. One thing I’m especially proud of is how well we navigated all of the transportation during this trip. From the campground to the Metro and throughout the city, everything went smoothly. It was a much better experience than what we encountered in New York 10 years ago.

Overall, our time in DC was well worth the trip. We packed a lot into a few days, but there were still several things we didn’t get to see. The White House was one of them. With construction, preparations for the state fair, and the upcoming 250th anniversary celebrations, viewing opportunities were very limited.

That’s the thing about travel, though—sometimes you don’t see everything on the first visit. It simply gives you a reason to come back.
