Such a fun and rewarding day for Chautauqua Garden Club to host the Lanoux Day Camp for young girls in our community. Participants learn about nature through various projects. The event was held Monday, June 15, at Chautauqua Park Visitor Center. Due to inclement weather, nature craft activities and games were moved to indoors. However, a break in rain, did allow some time for outdoor games. Artwork, a bee watering station, a seed planting kit, a seed bomb and a colorful rainbow garden spinner were such fun projects. These children are so talented! After a delicious lunch, the girls enjoyed more craft and game time. Food hostesses were Courtney Pyron, Diane Sims, and Kathy Wells.

A special thank you to Allison Ashmore , Lanoux Youth Chairman for Garden Clubs of America, for attending, providing and assisting with an art project.

The Chautauqua Garden Club’s Library Enrichment Committee members did a great job in designing, making and providing a display for National Garden Week July 7-13 at Crystal Springs Public Library. The Theme is “Get Curious.” The display features information on flower gardens and vegetable gardens in Crystal Springs and encourages patrons of all ages to participate in gardening.

Pictured left to right: Ann Prine, Courtney Pyron, and Lilli Mar Lee. Lilli Mar made library patrons bee baths to place near gardens so bees can easily consume water.

Congratulations to these winners! Crystal Springs has some really beautiful yards this time of year. The rains have definitely been beneficial. Now is the time to drive around to see these yards and this business as well as others. It takes much work and investment. Thank you to all for sharing the beauty with others.

Rains have come at a perfect time as Chautauqua Garden Club members have made a zinnia and pollinated wildflower garden at Chautauqua Park. A bird bath and a bench compliment the garden with signs to soon be in place. This will be a welcoming haven for birds and butterflies, and visitors will have pretty zinnias to cut.

The below garden club members w**ded, planted zinnias, and wildflowers. They cleaned up the area , treated ant beds and had some 💪 to help us with the heavy lifting. Francisco found a birds nest near our new garden so he will w**d eat later.. did not want to disturb moma.

Chautauqua Garden Club members had a memorable visit at Twelve2farm for their May program and meeting. Beautiful flowers and a nice family that owns it! The story behind Twelve2Farm is all about “Giving God Glory”! Dana shared their wonderful testimony of walking in faith & trusting God’s purpose for their lives🥰 If you haven’t read Romans 12:2, please read it. That’s where the name of the farm came from and the verse they are trying to raise their family and live their lives to fulfill. Also, members enjoyed a delicious lunch at Trace Grill.
