Wildcats earn baseball All-District honors

After finishing with 12 wins this season, the most in a season in nearly a decade for Cuba High School’s baseball team, coaches in the district took notice of a trio of standout Wildcats.

Cuba seniors Adam Doyle and Wyatt McMillian along with junior Braden Gipson were all named All-District selections by the coaches in the district. All three players and freshman Carter Medows were also named All-Conference selections.

Cuba American Legion honors veterans with Memorial Day Ceremony

Commander Woody Mosher of the Cuba American Legion opened the May 25 Memorial Day Ceremony at Kinder Cemetery with a prayer.

“Heavenly Father, we thank you for the freedom and opportunity we have to live in a town like we live in, and live in a country like we live in and we hope that you would guide and direct all the military people that we have out in various parts of the Earth, and guide and direct them,” Mosher started.
