The public is invited to take this survey about disaster experiences in order to help update the county's mitigation plan.

In coordination with DeWitt County, the City of Cuero, City of Nordheim, City of Yorktown, and Green-DeWitt Drainage District are updating the DeWitt County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan (HMAP). The Plan will address hazards that affect the area. The goal of the Plan Update is to evaluate....

The first of many truckloads of donations headed to the Hill Country Thursday morning with an es**rt by the Cuero Fire Departments and Cuero Regional Hospital ambulance.

Passing this on from Lifeway Church: Our community has uplifted and supported the Hill Country with generous donations over the last several days.
You are invited to come send volunteers off, and pray for safe travels, as they deliver all that has been collected.
A caravan of local churches and organizations will lead the way. Full of much needed items for all of those suffering from the floods.

The Cuero Chamber is taking donations for flood victims.

The Cuero Chamber of Commerce and the Cuero Development Corporation are deeply saddened by the devastating flooding in Kerr County. Our hearts go out to all those affected by this tragedy.

In an effort to support the families and communities impacted, we are collecting gift card donations (Visa, Walmart, H-E-B, etc.) to personally deliver to those in need.

If you would like to contribute or need more information, please contact the Cuero Chamber at 361-275-2112.

Together, we can show Kerr County they are not alone. 💚

Lifeway Baptist Church, 403 E. Sarah, is having a prayer service for the Hill Country flood victims tonight from 6-7 p.m. The public is invited.

FYI: They are also collecting paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, brushes, rubber gloves, feminine hygiene products, soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes. Gift cards for HEB, Visa and Mastercard.

Out for her morning walk on July 4th, retired teacher Ruth Anne Killough, 62, turned back on Morgan Street toward her house and was struck by a Dodge Ram truck.
