Adam and his buddy were called out to do a large cutout in a barn wall. Free bees are the best bees!

It is looking like we may not have much of a nectar dearth in Tennessee this year! Should be good for the bees!!!

The bees were telling us they were not happy. Beekeeper error. Note to self...don't be greedy!

This colony has slowly been increasing their bearding over the last several days. I finally broke down and took a peek. Good thing I did! Apparently I pulled too much honey and they were out and most likely getting ready to abscond. I added a couple of partial frames of honey and they immediately responded positively. I gave the beard a little smoke and they all started piling into the entrance. I will keep an eye on them over the next couple of days but I think they will be fine.
If the bees are bearding bad, they are telling you something!
