šŸ‘“ Catching Myopia Early

When it comes to our children’s vision, early detection can make a lasting difference.

In our August Kids & Pets Issue, Dr. Spencer Boozer of Boozer Eye Care shares insight into childhood myopia, what parents should be watching for and why catching changes in a child’s vision early matters more than ever.

It’s another great reminder that routine eye care is an important part of helping our kids see—and experience—the world around them. ā¤ļø

A Legacy of Care 🐾

For Dr. Payden Smith, veterinary medicine is more than a career—it’s a family legacy. At East Point Animal Clinic, that legacy continues through compassionate care, trusted relationships and a genuine love for the pets and families they serve.

We loved sharing the story behind this longtime Cullman practice and the family carrying its tradition of care into the next generation.

Some days, the best plans are the unplanned ones.

I stopped by Branham Tire & Auto after discovering not one… but two nails in my tire. Thankfully, they had me taken care of, so I decided to make the most of the wait with a stroll through downtown.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect—a little breeze, sunshine, and one of those mornings that reminds you why you love where you live.

First stop? Karma's Coffee House of course. ā˜• My go-to order is always the Kurt Cobean, and it never disappoints. Then I wandered through the books… and there it was—my favorite magazine, Cullman City Lifestyle. ā¤ļø That little moment always makes me smile.

From there, I walked over to visit Colonel John G. Cullmann, admired the gazebo, and couldn’t help but think that Oktoberfest will be here before we know it! I wrapped up my walk by stopping at our beautiful train depot. Cullman County Museum Visit Cullman, Alabama Cullman Oktoberfest

It’s funny how a flat tire turned into one of my favorite mornings.

Gosh… I sure do love this town. ā¤ļø
