MEETING RECAP 3/4/24
After a couple months, we finally had another one of our bigger meetings! I plan to keep that up and get back into our old routine if possible. On that note, I hope to have another meeting this Saturday but I don't yet know what to focus on. I will contact some of you to try and arrange it when I figure it out, though.
On Monday, we briefly revisited our goals with this project. Though there's no denying this is an ambitious project, and always was, I have no doubt that we can get it done if we work together. I know some of you are not really going to be doing what you're best at until we get to the point of filming, but there's a lot of preparation to be done so I'm going to try and be better about delegating. I understand that most of you are busy with work, school, etc. so if you can't do a task, that's fine. All I ask is that you let me know your status.
We are still looking for a replacement actor for the role of Thryn. I plan to put a casting call on Facebook soon. In addition, Rosina and Sophia will be researching local Christian drama groups and schools that we can then contact.
We discussed the need for a matte painter. Matte painting is essentially a very old fashioned form of animation that was outdated by the seventies. But for our purposes, it seems the best course of action given our budget and timeframe. So if you know a really good painter, please see if they'd be willing to help out and let me know.
We also went over our equipment and crew needs for any given day of filming. This includes a drone, so if you have one you'd be willing to let us use or if you know someone who does, please let me know.
And finally, some of us went over character info to give the actors a better idea of who they're playing. I will be sending that information out to all the actors in a subsequent email.
I ask that everyone keep me updated with their schedules as possible, particularly for June and July.
I've decided against expanding our social media presence beyond Facebook (at least for now) because the primary motivation for that was to gain attention for funding.
