Immediate Release

Incident at AG Richardson Elementary School

2:40 this afternoon school officials were alerted to an upset parent coming to the campus. The school was set to “Remain Indoors” status while our SROs and Patrol units handled the parent.

School admin along with our deputy met the parent outside and did not allow him to enter the school. In the course of about 10-15 minutes it was determined that the individual was in possession of a vehicle that he had no permission to use, and appeared to be under the influence of something causing erratic behavior. As more Sheriffs office deputies arrived he was taken into custody and searched incident to arrest at which time narcotics were located.

The male is being held under no bond at the Culpeper County Jail. Charged with Unauthorized use of a vehicle and Possession of Schedule I or II narcotics.

“We take any incident at the schools seriously and will handle them quickly and with the least amount of disruption to the kids. The fastest way to make your way to our jail is causing problems at our schools!” … Sheriff T.W. Chilton
