HL Productions

HL Productions hlproductionsca.com Welcome! My name is Hugo Lopez. I am a graduate of San Francisco State University where I majored in Cinema. My resume reflects my credo.

That's right, I cut 16 mm film with a blade and splicer bar, spun film on a flatbed, and rolled on a Bolex wind up camera. The classics truly get you a base knowledge of the big picture. I started 18 years ago at a low power Univision station as a production manager and since then have had the opportunity to wear several hats. I have worked as a Creative Services producer, an editor, a camera operator, a technical director/director of a live show, an audio board operator, a robotic camera operator, a prompter operator, a TOC operator, and a studio manager. Never stop learning! I love learning knew skills and equally love teaching and passing on information. If I could pinpoint one thing that stands out about me it would be my never ending battery. There is nothing like working a long day with great results and the exhaustion that ensues. I love proving myself over and over again in the production world and creating beautiful images.
