The King of the Desert

The King of the Desert Based on a true story of a Mexican American boy’s journey of self-discovery through adulthood and the realization of his dreams. This original Ovation Recommended play explores the way our cultural identity often informs our personal view of ourselves and in turn affects our children.

Based on a true story, the play strives to present accurate Mexican American history that is often overlooked as seen through the eyes of one ordinary man surmounting extraordinary struggles. This play has been produced over five times within the Los Angeles area and has received over 20 critics picks and rave reviews.
