Surprised The Kids At His Financial Literacy Program
Educational Context:
21 Savage surprised students at a recent financial literacy event organized by his Leading By Example Foundation in partnership with DeKalb County Schools. During what appears to be part of “Bank Account Financial Literacy Week,” the rapper made an unannounced appearance in an auditorium filled with middle and high school students who were receiving certificates. With foundation banners prominently displayed, 21 Savage entered to an excited reaction from the kids as part of his long-running initiative, launched around 2018–2019 through the “Bank Account” campaign. The program teaches underserved youth essential skills like banking, budgeting, saving, investing, credit, and entrepreneurship via in-person workshops, virtual courses, scholarships, back-to-school drives, and practical tools such as opening bank accounts. Through partnerships with organizations like Chime, EverFi, and local schools, 21 Savage continues to emphasize financial empowerment, drawing from his own background to help young people build better economic futures.
