There’s something so satisfying about watching the little details come together — especially when that final border makes the whole banner feel finished.

It’s one of those parts of the process that looks simple, but can completely change the final look. 🤍

Banner artists… I tried the thick brush everyone keeps talking about, and I have thoughts 👀🎨

Short version? I think it’s worth it.

I’m always a little skeptical when a supply starts getting hyped up, but this one has officially earned a spot in my brush collection. It makes filling larger areas and creating bold strokes so much quicker, and I can definitely see myself reaching for it over and over again.

So if you’ve been wondering whether you actually need one… consider this my vote for yes. 😂

The apps that keep my banner business running behind the scenes (besides social media obviously 😅)📱🎨✨

There’s so much more to this business than just painting banners. Between designing, communicating with customers, creating content, keeping track of orders, and staying organized, I rely on a handful of apps pretty much every single day.

Consider this your friendly ✨ de-influencing ✨ from a banner artist + stay-at-home mom who is also figuring it out as she goes. 😂

Social media has a funny way of making us feel like we need to do MORE.

More orders. More content. More followers. More supplies. More activities for our kids. A prettier brand. A cleaner house. A fuller calendar.

But more doesn’t always mean better. 🤍

You don’t have to be the cheapest to stay booked.
You don’t have to say yes to every opportunity for “exposure.”
You don’t have to post constantly to grow.
You don’t have to feel guilty when the TV is helping you get through the day.
You don’t have to reinvent your business every time you get bored with your branding.
And you definitely cannot “just browse” Hobby Lobby. That one I will not budge on. 😂

And maybe the biggest one: you don’t have to run yourself into the ground to prove that you’re working hard enough.

As moms and business owners, I think sometimes we need someone to remind us that doing less in some areas doesn’t mean we’re failing.

Build the business. Raise the babies. Chase the goals. But give yourself permission to do it in a way that’s sustainable for YOU.

Fun fact, I actually started painting banners on sheets back in college back in 2013-2018, and that’s where I learned it all! I loved being able to go back to my roots and paint on a sheet again 🍓
