Didn't expect this to be our favorite rental tool, but now my husband thinks we should buy one
With 18 ft ceilings ( wall height) a ladder doesn't cut it. My advice would be have everything ready, ordered etc. before renting so you can get it all done with one rental!

Things are moving right along! Pole barn build is complete, just some finishing touches.

We are getting septic, electric and water next.
We are spending some time getting the outside the way we want it.
One of the things we are planning on doing is building an RV spot. Stay tuned!

It's not glamorous but it's WORTH IT!
We were told that this area is the only place in the world that still allows you to swim with the manatees. The best months with a lot are January & February. There are different tour types but we decided to do the VIP one (which vip maybe a stretch ) you pay
extra for heat, snacks and drinks. But honestly too early for drinks/ snacks but we did it for the heat!!e had the six thirty We were happy with it and would recommend it! The manatees are such gentle creatures and we felt honored to be so close to them!

Pole barn regrets we didn't think about soon enough! If you're building one these are definitely things you should consider.
1. Gutters- this is our BIGGEST regret!
The company offered a gutter option but we decided to not go with it. BiG S
MISTAKE! We will be adding gutters on but it would have been easier and probably cheaper to have done it initially.
2. Drain- We should have taken the time to dig out and install a drain, not a huge regret but a wish we would've done.
3. Lean-to- This was also an add-on option that we said no to, honestly we were already spending and were trying to save. We will add one on ourselves but wish we would've just bit the bullet and paid the extra.
4. Concrete- While the guys were there and the trucks delivering we should have had them pour a little more to add just a bit more sidewalk.
5. Windows- Now we think a few more high windows for light would've been good.
These are all things to consider before you build.

The amount of dirty that came out was satisfying
* before anyone says
anything, they did not steam it with regular steam temps- they did it with lower temps & the brush was soft synthetic. They knew what they were doing! We Clean the floors in our Airstream with a vacuum & spot cleaning. This got them sparkling!

Bungee cords are a thing of the past since these came around! Known as the world's easiest tie down and it doesn't disappoint. It comes with a 15 rope, steel G hook, self locking cleat and an S hook at for under 20$- that is a steal!
And they are MADE IN THE USA

Pretty much these 9 steps. We were a little unsure how it would go since this is our first time doing new construction.
We wanted to get the pole barn built before we tackled the barndo & happy we did. We feel way more confident about building the barndo now.

Finally POWER!!! We are learning patience with this build. You have to wait on others time availability. You have to get things in motion because it won't just happen.
Next project is water!
