If anyone would like to donate I will be leaving for Ag Teachers Conference on Sunday July 20. Please drop off at the High School or with an FFA member to get them to me.

When one Texas community hurts, we all step up. Let’s show the Hill Country that Texas FFA stands with them.

Over the past several days, we’ve struggled to understand why tragedies like this happen. We have prayed over our Hill Country neighbors and mourned the loss of precious, innocent lives. Yet in the midst of heartbreak, we’ve also witnessed the very best of what makes Texas so special—communities coming together, neighbors helping neighbors, and people showing up with compassion and strength. In these moments, we are reminded that while we may have seen the worst of nature, we are also seeing the very best of humanity.

The Texas FFA family is deeply saddened by the devastating flooding in the Hill Country. Our prayers and thoughts are with the communities facing unimaginable loss, and we are especially mindful of the families whose lives have been forever impacted. In this difficult time, we stand with all who are grieving and extend our gratitude to the first responders and neighbors offering hope and help. Please know that you are not alone; your Texas FFA family is lifting you up with compassion, care, and unwavering support.

FFA State Convention Wrap-Up

Dalhart FFA hit the road to Fort Worth for the 2025 Texas State FFA Convention! Throughout the week, we had the incredible opportunity to listen and learn from inspiring speakers and agricultural leaders, including Brooke Rollins and JB Mauney.

Our members attended Leadership Development Workshops led by state officers from Georgia, Delaware, Colorado, and West Virginia, as well as other outstanding agriculturalists who poured into our students and their futures.

We are especially proud to announce that eight Dalhart FFA members were awarded their Lone Star Degrees—the highest honor a Texas FFA member can earn:
🎉 Brandis Beavers, Elli Bezner, Jake Byrd, Joel Lopez, Maggie Meeks, Jaylan Miller, Hailey Nolt, and Samuel Taylor.

This trip wasn’t just about awards and workshops. It was a time to grow, reflect, and begin planning for the year ahead. These students represented Dalhart with pride—earning multiple compliments throughout the week for their respectful and outstanding behavior.

We couldn’t be prouder. It was truly a joy to spend the week with such a remarkable group of young leaders. 💙💛

Dalhart FFA had an outstanding few days at the Area Convention! We proudly brought home CDE banners from area contests and had three public speakers place 7th or higher—an incredible accomplishment. Out of our two candidates for area officer, one earned a coveted spot on the area officer team! To top it all off, we were honored with not one, but two sweepstakes awards for a single-teacher department.

These incredible students have dedicated hundreds of hours and traveled thousands of miles, pouring their hearts into preparation, study, and competition. They rise early, stay up late, and give their all—not just to FFA contests, but to their schoolwork and responsibilities as well.

While they may not have brought home state championships this time, they are true champions in every sense of the word, and we couldn’t be prouder of them!
