One year ago today we were on our 45th day of our Honeymoon, stuck in Dallas after missing our flight home to New Zealand.

Our bags were still left with the airline and without any clean clothes or toiletries we were left to wait 24 hours for our new flight. While some might think of a missed flight as a bad thing, we saw an opportunity to add a quick Texas trip to our Honeymoon!

We didn't have a lot of time here but we were able to go out for a proper Texas BBQ meal at Hard Eight BBQ with their giant BBQ smoke pits.

Then we were back to the Airport for our flight home to NZ. This Honeymoon has been filled with so many incredible moments and unforgettable experiences, many that we were able to share with family and friends along the way. Thank you so much to everyone who made time to be a part of our trip. And thank you to all our wedding guests who gave us money as a gift. This is where the money was spent and we're so grateful to all of you for helping us to have this Honeymoon around the USA and Canada.

One year ago today we were on the 44th day of our Honeymoon, and also the last day of our Honeymoon. It was time to say goodbye to our Florida family and head back to Orlando for our flight to New Zealand.

We had such a great time in Florida exploring theme parks, spending time with family, and getting to see where they live. Thank you so much to everyone who spent time with us while we were there and we hope we'll see you again soon.

After arriving in Orlando we had a long and delayed wait for our flight at the airport due to some thunderstoms, and by the time we landed in Dallas for our connecting flight, we only had 10 minutes to get to our next plane that was on the other side of the terminal. We tried to run to the next gate but didn't make it in time and despite the plane still being at the gate, they wouldn't let us on.

So this wasn't really the last day of our Honeymoon afterall. We booked another flight for the following night and went off to a hotel in Dallas where we'll spend day 45 of our Honeymoon.

One year ago today we were on the 43rd day of our Honeymoon, and our family in Florida decided to take us to visit the oldest city in the USA. Saint Augustine was founded by the Spanish almost 500 years ago.

We took a tour around the city to see all the old buildings and learn about the history. Everything here was built before New Zealand even existed.

After our tour we then went to an Aligator Farm because it's safer than trying to find them in the wild. They didn't move a lot but it was so cool to see so many of them, and this place had a lot of variety of species and size.

Thank you so much to our family for the unforgettable tour to see more of Florida.

Make sure to watch our stories for more from today.

One year ago today we were on the 42nd day of our Honeymoon, with the family in Gainsville Florida.

It was another nice and quiet family day, enjoying time with some really special people who we don't get to see often enough.

Kuya Mark took us on another Gators tour around their university. Then we went out for lunch with Ate Wella and our neice Izzy before hitting up the Arcade for some fun games. It was so nice to be able to see where our family were living and experience life in their town.

One year ago today we were on the 41st day of our Honeymoon, where we had finally arrived to our family in Gainsville Florida.

It was so nice to spend more time with family and meet more of our cousins, some Dixie hadn't seen since they were kids.

This small town has a big college with the Gators football team and stadium as one of the big tourist attractions, so Ate Wella and Jared took us for a tour around the town.

Its also famous for the serial killer who inspired the Scream movies, but there wasn't any statues of this to take photos with.

One year ago today we were on the 40th day of our Honeymoon and it was time for our final day in Orlando. Before we caught a bus to meet back up with the family in Gainsville we went to spend the day at Sea World.

We came to see the animals but this park actually has so much to do and is filled with roller coasters. But we only gave ourselves enough time to see the animals so we ignored all the rides and enjoyed the shows instead.

From Dolphins, Orcas, Sea Lions, penguins, manatees, and so many other Sea creatures this was such a nice park to spend the day exploring. We also had our dining pass so made sure to take advantage of ordering as much food as we could.

After a fun day at the park we took an Uber to the dodgy area of Orlando to take a bus to an even dodgier area of Gainsville where we met back up with our family. It was so nice to finally be at home with the family and thank you so much to Tita Lou for having us stay for a few days.

We'll have more from Gainsville tomorrow but for now take a look at our stories for more from Sea World.

One year ago today we were on the 39th day of our Honeymoon and what better way to spend it than at another Disney Park! Visiting the Magic Kingdom makes this our 6th Disney Park visit of our trip. That means we've been to half of all Disney theme parks in the World just on our Honeymoon and each one has been so much fun.

Today we put our big mouse ears back on and Dixie earned another badge to add to them for her birthday. One of the cast members loved them so much we even got a free ice cream!

The Magic Kingdom is home to Dixie's favorite castle so we managed to take even more photos of it then we did at the Disneyland Castle. We also got a nice parade and fireworks at the end of the day so it made up for missing these at Disneyland.

That's it for our Disney parks on this trip but we still have another 6 to visit together around the world so there's plenty more Disney holidays to come.

One year ago today on the 38th day of our Honeymoon we were celebrating the 3rd birthday of our trip. This time it was Dixie's birthday!

After so many years having birthdays in New Zealand and Singapore without any family it was so special to be able to celebrate today surrounded by our family, some who we hadn't seen for a long time. A big thank you to Auntie Penny for the incredible lunch that also turned into a few dinners after our "sharon".

When the party finished we said goodbye to our family who went home to Gainsville and we went back to our accommodation for a quiet and relaxing day. After all these theme parks it was nice to have a day to rest.

One year ago today we were on our 37th day of our Honeymoon, ready for another Disney park day with the cousins. This time at Epcot!

It was a great time of the year to visit Epcot with a Flower Garden Festival that had incredible flowers designed as Disney characters all over the park. They also had special foods to try as we travelled around all the different countries in the park. Then to finish off the night we had an incredible fireworks display.

A special thanks to Tito Boy and Tita Cel for getting us into some of these Disney World parks for free. Make sure to watch our stories for more from our day at Epcot.

One year ago today we were on the 36th day of our Honeymoon, at another of the Disney World parks. This time our cousins had joined us for a fun day at Hollywood Studios.

With more Star Wars rides, a Toy Story Land, Frozen sing-alongs and a 50's home cooked meal at the Prime Time Cafe, we had another wonderful day here at the Disney Parks.

To finish off the night we finally got to see the Fantasmic show, after Disneyland stopped showing it daily and we missed it in LA. This was our favorite show from all the parks and such a great way to end our time at Hollywood Studios.

Make sure to watch our stories for more from our day.
