This is what it's like to not play your instrument in a classical(proper) setting for YEARS.
I couldn't tell you the last time I took time to work on my tone, and it shows.
I also couldn't tell you the last time I tried to play with musicianship.
I couldn't tell you the last time I REALLY PLAYED.
I went to school for this, and once I left and stopped teaching, I just..... stopped. Regressed. Just simply put........ got worse.
My embouchure is KILLING ME after 30 minutes of playing.
My lungs are SCREAMING from excessive long tones to get my endurance back up.
I've noticed something missing for a while, and this is it. I HAVE to get better than I was BEFORE music school ended.
Back when I played at a national conference.
Back when I cared about music. And I mean REALLY playing music.
Today was Day 1. I'm going to document every single day on my road there.
