Mi gente, I know the world feels heavy right now. I feel like our heads are spinning with a new information being dropped on the daily.

So this month, Erika and I decided to do something different for our month end chisme episode.

We just talked.

No particular subject, no politics. Just girl talk con vino. And you get to be a fly in the wall for our unhinged conversation.

Episode now available on all platforms and YouTube.

Let’s be real, mi gente. When any of us get to a position of power, we are looked at and expected to represent an ENTIRE community, regardless of country of origin.

Is it fair? Absolutely not. The diaspora of the Latiné community is vast. We come from various backgrounds and experiences. Although we tend to be similar in many ways, there are so many ways that were different as well.

So when one of us gets elevated to a position of power in corporate America, we take that responsibility seriously. We know that everyone is looking at us and if we leave (whether voluntary or not) the possibility of backfilling doesn’t necessarily favor our community.

discusses this dynamic with me on the latest episode of Wine & Chisme.

Check it out on all podcast platforms and YouTube.

Miriam Simon spent years hiding being Mexican, hiding being LGBTQ+, hiding being a mom, because each one of those things was used against her. She was called cheap labor. She lost wages. She got passed over for promotions because people assumed a mom wouldn’t be reliable.

Through all of it, she kept showing up. Until she finally stopped performing and started leading as her full self.

That’s the work. That’s the Undivided Leader.

This episode is for every woman who has ever walked into a room as a fraction of herself and wondered why it felt so exhausting. We see you. And Miriam has something to say to you.

Fast fashion is literally costing us the planet, and the comunidad deserves to know the truth.

Elvira Zamora, Creative Director and Fashion Designer of , came through and gave us ALL the chisme on sustainable fashion, slow style, and why what’s hanging in your closet matters more than you think. From growing up in Lima, Peru where nothing went to waste, to building platforms rooted in cultura and conscious consumption, Elvira is out here creating the movement the fashion industry never made space for.

We’re talking fast fashion’s dirty secrets, the real cost of what we wear, clothing swaps, sewing circles, and the glam gala SHE built because she got tired of waiting for Latiné culture to have its moment on the runway.

Your closet is about to look different after this one, mi gente. 👇🏽

This is why we do what we do over here, mi gente.

Samantha Esquivel of said what so many of us already know to be true…people aren’t afraid to spend their money. They just want to spend it on something REAL. A story they can see themselves in. A brand built by someone who worked for it, not a boardroom that bought their way in.

That’s why supporting Latiné-owned wineries matters. That’s why this podcast exists. And that’s exactly the energy Samantha brings to every bottle of Ruakh Wines.

Most people think wine is all about taste. But Samantha Esquivel of says her biggest focus is something most winemakers don’t talk about: texture.

“If you talk about how a wine feels, it doesn’t matter how much you know about wine…you can feel it on your tongue, on your lips.”

That’s the bridge. Between the wine expert and the person just starting their journey. Between what you know and what you feel. And honestly? That’s exactly what this show is about.

Mi gente, life doesn’t always look the way we imagined it would. And honestly? That’s okay.

On this week’s April Chisme episode, we got real about the butterfly effect - how one small change ripples into everything. The career pivots, the moves, the timing that felt wrong but turned out to be exactly right.

If one thing had been different, we might have never ended up exactly where we are. And where we are is pretty damn good.

No one tells you how hard it is to make friends when you get married. He had his friends. You have yours. But couple friends? Well, that can be complicated.

Enter adult league baseball. Wives and partners supporting their men live out their MLB dreams 😉 We have found a space that our partners enjoy each other’s company and I’ve been so lucky to find women who I enjoy as well.

So salud to new friends and boozy baseball! 🥂

Mi gente. Your resume got you in the door. But can you connect the dots when you’re actually in the room?

Dr. Analia Gomez-Vidal dropped something so real on the latest episode of Wine & Chisme. She says too many people treat their resume like a safety blanket, constantly tweaking it, optimizing it, but never actually doing the deeper work of understanding their own story.

And here’s the thing: AI can generate a resume. It cannot generate YOU.
Knowing who you are, what you want, and how to communicate that? That’s what gets you hired. That’s what keeps you grounded when everything around you is shifting.
