Hailing from Shreveport, Louisiana, Steven Goudeau has defied geographic boundaries to become “The Fashion Architect” of Dallas.

Steven Goudeau is Designer/CEO at Stephen Goudeau, a fashion label that creates timeless,custom, and ready-to-wear pieces, and custom wedding gowns.

His goal in the industry is to leave a strong, persevering stamp for people of color, of any s*x, age, and background. He firmly believes, and wants others to understand, that Black Lives Do Matter and he wants the example of his life to leave footprints in the fashion world that help stamp out stereotypes of people of color being seen as subpar. You’ll often see on Steven’s social media the quote, “Black fashion designers do exist…” It’s a statement of truth for him, and other black designers worldwide, whether the world accepts it or not.

Since founding his namesake label in 2014, Goudeau has fused his background in Mass Communication with an innate eye for structural elegance, dressing icons like Zendaya, Tyra Banks, and Michelle Williams. His work—spanning bespoke couture, luxury bridal, and ready-to-wear—is a testament to his mission of elevating Black designers in the global luxury space.

Featured in British Vogue and New York Fashion Week, Goudeau remains dedicated to proving that high-end fashion is a universal language, leaving a sophisticated, persevering stamp on the industry one silhouette at a time.

David also has a very impressively professional career in Higher Education that spans more than 20 years of providing access and community outreach for elementary through high school students especially for minority males.

He is the founder of the "Aiming for the Stars" African American Male Academic Bowl along with Project Still I Rise, Inc. that is an academic competition primarily targeting young black men 4th-8th grade in the DFW area for more than 13 years. David has served on multiple committees for several entities promoting STEM and College Access for students.

A memeber of the 34th cohort of Leadership Richardson and has worked in higher education admissions, recruitment/outreach at the HBCU (Jackson State University) and Community College (Dallas College) level. He more currently worked on an administrative level as an Assistant Director (UTD) and now is Associate Director for Admissions at UNT in Frisco.
