1 Timothy 6:6, NIV❣️

Healthy people are content people. They’re grateful to be alive, grateful to have a job, grateful for their family and friends. Sometimes it’s the subtle things that can plant seeds of discontentment. It starts when we make the mistake of comparing our life to somebody else’s. What they seem to have may look like they’re ahead of you, that they’re better off, that you got shortchanged and are at a disadvantage. Comparing will cause you to be disgruntled. But we forget that somebody else has it worse than us. Somebody would gladly take that spouse of yours who you’ve gotten sour on. Somebody would love to have your house, your job, your children. Don’t let what someone else has stir you into being sour, ungrateful, and upset. Run your own race. You have to put your foot down and say, “I will not let seeds of discontentment take root in my life. I will not let that poison get in my spirit. I am grateful and blessed to have what God has given me, and I have what I need to fulfill my destiny.”

Divine Interruptions❤️

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
(Proverbs 3:5–6, NIV)❣️

We all have times when our plans don’t work out. We get delayed, interrupted and inconvenienced. It’s easy to get frustrated and fight against everything that doesn’t go our way. But, not every interruption is bad. Every closed door doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong. Every delay doesn’t mean you’re not where you’re supposed to be. There is something I call a divine interruption where God, on purpose, will delay us to protect us from an accident. On purpose, He will close a door because it’s not His best. Sometimes, God will allow us to be inconvenienced so we can help someone else in need. We have to be willing to press through difficulty so we can be at the right place at the right time.

The next time you’re interrupted, delayed or inconvenienced, don’t start thinking, “This is a pain. This is getting me off schedule.” No, get a new perspective. Look for what God wants to do because it could be divine interruption or divine protection. Trust Him today because He is directing your steps.👆🏻

More than Enough❤️

In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty.”
(Psalm 37:19, NIV)❣️

We serve the God of more than enough! It doesn’t matter what’s happening around you; it doesn’t matter what’s happening in the economy; it doesn’t matter what’s happening in the stock market, God is able to provide for you. Notice today’s verse doesn’t just say He’ll help you barely get by; no, it says that in days of famine His people will enjoy plenty.

The key is that we have to get our minds off of this natural, earthly realm and start setting our minds on things above. Remember, there is no recession in heaven, but if you aren’t investing in God’s economy, you won’t see the reward He has for you. Take a step of faith today and sow a seed. Ask God how you can be a blessing to others. Remember, you are a steward over His resources. When you choose to be obedient to Him, you will eat the good of the land. And when you tap into God’s economy by obeying His Word, you will have His results—more than enough!

God: Never in a Hurry; Always On Time❤️

“Don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed.” (James 1:4b MSG)❣️

Be patient with God and with yourself. One of life’s frustrations is that God’s timetable is rarely the same as ours. We are often in a hurry when God isn’t. You may feel frustrated with the seemingly slow progress you’re making in life.

Remember that God is never in a hurry, but he is always on time. He will use your entire lifetime to prepare you for your role in eternity.

The Bible is filled with examples of how God uses a long process to develop character, especially in leaders. He took 80 years to prepare Moses, including 40 in the wilderness. For 14,600 days Moses kept waiting and wondering, “Is it time yet?” But God kept saying, “Not yet.”

Contrary to popular book titles, there are no “Easy Steps to Maturity” or “Secrets of Instant Sainthood.” When God wants to make a giant oak, he takes a hundred years, but when he wants to make a mushroom, he does it overnight.

Great souls are grown through struggles and storms and seasons of suffering. Be patient with the process. James advised, “Don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed” (James 1:4b MSG).❣️

Don’t get discouraged. When Habakkuk became depressed because he didn’t think God was acting quickly enough, God had this to say: “These things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day!” (Habakkuk 2:3 LB)❣️

A delay is not a denial from God!👆🏻

Remember how far you’ve come, not just how far you have to go. You are not where you want to be, but neither are you where you used to be. Years ago people wore a popular button with the letters PBPGINFWMY. It stood for “Please Be Patient, God Is Not Finished With Me Yet.” God isn’t finished with you, either, so keep on moving forward. Even the snail reached the ark by persevering!👆🏻

Many people today are living in “survival mode.” If they can just make it through the day, they’ve accomplished their goal. And, there are times when circumstances can seem overwhelming. There are seasons that are more difficult than others. But God doesn’t want us to just survive, He wants us to thrive. He wants us to prosper in all things.

One definition of the word “thrive” means “to realize a goal despite circumstances.” That means you can prosper in all things no matter what is going on around you. You don’t have to settle for an average year; you can have an extraordinary year. You may be planning on just getting by, but God is planning on abundance. He’s planning on overflow. It’s time to get into agreement with God. It’s time to walk in His ways. It’s time see your dreams come to pass. It’s time to thrive because God has a plan for you to prosper in every area of your life!👆🏻

A New Way of Thinking❤️

And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.”
(Mark 2:22, NKJV)❣️

Are you ready for increase? Are you ready to go to the next level spiritually, physically and emotionally? In today’s verse, Jesus is saying that you can’t go to a new level with an old way of thinking.

I’ve found that many people hear the truth that God has more in store for them, and something resonates on the inside. Their spirit comes into agreement with God. But oftentimes, their natural minds will try to talk them out it. Thoughts come like, “It’s not going to happen for you. You’re not going to have a great year. You know what the economy is like.” Or, “You’re never going to get well. You saw what the medical report said.” “You’re never going to get married. You’ve been single so long.”

Friend, those are the old wineskins that you have to get rid of. This is a new season. What’s happened in the past is over and done. You may have been through some disappointments, you may have tried and failed or things didn’t work out. That’s okay. We serve a God of restoration. It’s time to get a new vision for your life. It’s time to open yourself to a new way of thinking so that you can move forward and receive all of the blessings God has in store for you!👆🏻

Open the Door to Abundance❤️

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap...”
(Luke 6:38, NIV)❣️

God is a God of abundance! He wants to pour out His blessing on you until you are so full that you are running over with His goodness. Notice how this verse starts. It says, “Give, and it will be given to you.” Your giving is what sets the blessing of God into motion in your life.

Your giving is a spiritual seed. In the natural, when you plant an apple seed, it doesn’t just grow a single fruit. That one seed grows into a tree that has an abundance of apples. The same thing happens when you obey God in your giving. You get an abundant harvest in return. You are so blessed that you can’t even contain it! You just have to keep giving, and the cycle just keeps repeating itself.

Is there something the Lord is telling you to give today? What do you have in your hand that you can use to be a blessing to someone else? Take a step of faith and set the blessing of God into motion. Open the door to His blessing all the days of your life!👆🏻

It’s amazing how God can create so many people in the world and set up a plan for us to work together for His purposes to build the body of Christ. We all have a part. One scripture puts it this way: some plant seeds, some water, and some bring in the harvest. No matter what role each of us have, when we work together, we are honoring God. It pleases Him when we partner with one another to share the good news of the Gospel.

Today, know that you have an important part in the body of Christ. Whether you minister in the pulpit or on the street corner, or whether you sow seed so that others can go, you are important. Don’t ever underestimate the part you play because together we are building His kingdom.

You’re Already Counted In❤️

Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, “The LORD has not chosen these.”

1 Samuel 16:10, NIV❣️

When the prophet Samuel came to Jesse’s house to pick out one of his sons as the next king of Israel, Jesse lined up seven of his sons and said, “All right, Samuel, take your pick.” He hadn’t bothered to bring his youngest son, David, in from the shepherds’ fields. He had already ruled David out, thinking, “He’s too small, too young, not talented. He’s not king material.” This would have been a problem if people have the final say. But when people leave you out, it may be hurtful but it doesn’t stop your purpose. People may have counted you out, but don’t worry. God has already counted you in. He overrides what people say. He overrides the injustice. Samuel said, “Jesse, I don’t see the king in these seven sons. Do you have any other sons?” Like with David, you’re going to be called into the house and be anointed. God hasn’t forgotten about you. Stay in peace, keep doing the right thing, and what He promised you will come to you. God has the final say.👆🏻

I have a secret I would like to share with you today.

My Secret

One day, a friend asked Me "How is it that you are always so happy no matter what trial your going through. He said you have so much energy, and you never seem to get down."

With my eyes smiling, I said, "I know the Secret!"
"What secret is that?" To which he replied, "I'll tell you all about it, but you have to promise to share the Secret with others."

"The Secret is this: "I have learned there is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy. I must depend on God to
make me happy and to meet my needs. When a need arises in my life, I have to trust God to supply according to HIS riches.".

"I have learned most of the time I don't need half of what I think I do. He has never let me down. Since I learned that 'Secret', I am happy."

The questioner's first thought was, "That's too simple!" But upon
reflecting over his own life he recalled how he thought a bigger house would make him happy, but it didn't!

He thought a better paying job would make him happy, but it
hadn't.

When did he realize his greatest happiness? Sitting on the floor with his grandchildren, playing games, eating pizza or reading a story, a simple gift from God.

Now Everyone you know it too! We can't depend on people to
make us happy. Only GOD in His infinite wisdom can do that. Trust HIM! And now I pass the Secret on to you!👆🏻

Your Faith Journey ❤️

The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation.”

Genesis 12:1–2, NIV❣️

The way God leads us always requires faith. For Abram to reach his destiny meant he had to leave his comfort zone of family, friends, and blessing and take steps of faith into the unknown. Our God is a moving God. He’s taking you on a journey. The place of blessing is going to move. It may not always be physical as it was for Abram; sometimes it’s your thinking. You have to leave limited mindsets. You have to quit telling yourself you’re not qualified and take that new position at work, teach that class, or volunteer at the church. Quit thinking about what didn’t work out, who did you wrong, the relationship that didn’t make it. God is in control. He knows when it’s time for you to move forward. That’s why He’s commanded another place for you to be blessed.

Now be sensitive to what He’s saying and quick to obey. You have to leave where God was and go to where God is. It is a place strategically orchestrated to get you prepared for the fullness of your destiny.

Messy Places❤️

“Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.”

Jeremiah 32:17, NKJV❣️

Do you ever have thoughts that the God who is so precise, so detailed, that He causes the earth to rotate down to the millisecond and has stars, planets, and galaxies fit perfectly in place and stay in order is somehow going to falter in His plan for your life? Do you think He would ever let something happen that wasn’t designed, a bad break or a messy situation, keep you from your destiny? If He made a mistake with you, you would be the first one.

You’re going to go through some messy places, things you don’t understand, weaknesses that you haven’t overcome, but it’s all a part of the process. It may be uncomfortable, you may have brought the trouble on yourself, but it’s not a surprise to God. When He designed your plan, He took it into account. Despite the wrong choices, despite the dysfunction, despite the delays, what makes you think God’s not going to bring to pass what He promised you? You’re under construction. That’s part of the process. It doesn’t mean God’s not going to finish what He started.
