Growing Through Difficulty❤️

“These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold...”
(1 Peter 1:7, NLT)❣️

One thing we have to realize is that God is not going to deliver us from every difficulty.
He is not going to keep us from every challenge.
If He did, we would never grow.
The Scripture says, “Our faith is tried in the fire of affliction.” When you’re in a tough time, that’s an opportunity for your faith to shine.

Anybody can get negative and bitter, blame God, or lose their passion.
That’s easy.
But if you want to pass the test, if you want God to take you to a new level, you cannot be a weakling.
You’ve got to be a warrior.
Dig your heels in and say like Paul, “I can handle it. I’m ready for it. I’m equal to it. I know God is still on the throne.
He is fighting my battles, and on the other side of this difficulty is a new level of my destiny!”

Set A New Standard💖

Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking.
Instead, fix your attention on God.
You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it.

Romans 12:2❣️

So often we let our environment, how we were raised, and other people’s expectations of us set the limits for our life.
We adapt to what’s around us.
If you take an oak tree seed and plant it in a two-foot pot, that oak tree will never become what it was created to be if you leave it in the pot—not because there’s something wrong with the seed, but because of the environment that it’s in. It’s so easy to just fit in and be like everyone else.
But God didn’t create you to be average. He created you to stand out, to go beyond the norm, to leave your mark on this generation.
You have seeds of greatness inside. You’re supposed to go further than the people who raised you and set a new standard.
You may be in an environment where people have addictions, low self-esteem, depression, and poverty.
You can’t stop that.
But here’s the key:
Don’t let that become the norm in your thinking.
If you accept that as who you are, it will keep you from your destiny.

It’s Still Stored Up💖

Then the word of the LORD came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.”

Genesis 15:4❣️

When God promised Abraham that he and Sarah would have a son, Sarah was way past the childbearing years.
Year after year went by with no baby. They decided to try to help God out. Sarah gave Abraham her maid, Hagar, to sleep with, and they had a son, but he wasn’t the promised child.
Then Sarah got mad at Abraham when Hagar despised her.
Abraham got frustrated with Sarah. Hagar was treated so badly by Sarah that she fled into the desert.
There was all kinds of dysfunction in their home.
You would think that God would say, “Abraham, you blew it. You’re too messed up. I’m done with you.”
But in spite of all the mistakes, God said, “Abraham, I still have your promise stored up.
I still have a baby for you.” Against all odds, when Abraham was one hundred years old, Sarah had a baby boy named Isaac, the promised child.

You may have made mistakes, but that didn’t disqualify you.
God still has your dreams, your healing, or your freedom stored up.
Just dare to believe.

We often find ourselves too busy to stop and say a prayer when we have a rough day.
In this life everything seems like it has to be accomplished A.S.A.P.
So we often forget to speak to God in prayer about it before we react.

One must remember that; THE PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN IS POWERFUL AND EFFECTIVE!.
( JAMES 5:16 *NIV )
More powerful and more effective than anything else on this Earth, even when we must react As Soon As Possible.

Now have you ever wondered about the abbreviation

Generally we think of it in terms of even more hurry and stress in our lives. Maybe if we think of this abbreviation in a different manner, we will begin to find a new way to deal with those rough days along the way.

Like A Warrior ❤️

The LORD will march out like a champion, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.

Isaiah 42:13, NIV❣️

You may feel overwhelmed by a bad medical report, by a broken relationship, or by being cheated in a business deal. In tough times, you have to realize you’re not alone.
The Most High God is fighting for you. He’s got your back.
He’s brought you through in the past, and He’s going to bring you through in the future.
God looks at your enemies and says, “If you mess with them, you have to first face Me.”

Now you have to do your part and get your fire back.
You can’t sit around in self-pity and think about what you lost, who hurt you, and how unfair it was.
That’s going to keep you down.
Shake off that weak, defeated mentality and have a warrior mentality.
Your attitude has to be that no matter what comes against you, it cannot defeat you.
A warrior doesn’t complain about opposition; a warrior loves a good fight. It fires him up.
If you have a warrior spirit and start doing what you can, God will help you do what you can’t.

What then? If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it?

Romans 3:3, NASB ❣️

One of the biggest battles that we all face is the battle of containment.
The enemy can’t do anything about the ground you’ve already gained, but he’ll do everything he can to try to keep you from going forward.
His goal is to convince you to settle where you are.
He’ll use other people to tell you that you’ll never be successful, that you can’t break an addiction, and they’ll throw water on what you’re passionate about. You have to quit letting people pull you down.

The apostle Paul says, “So what if they don’t believe?” Just because somebody doesn’t believe that you can do what God put in your heart doesn’t change anything.
It doesn’t change the faithfulness of God to bring it to pass.
Your attitude should be that you don’t need other people to cheer you on and support you.
You and God are a majority.
If God is for you, who dare be against you?
Start encouraging yourself: “I’m strong. I’m talented. I’m well able.
I will start living large. I will not be contained.”

Talk back❤️

Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again—my Savior and my God!

Psalm 42:11 NLT❣️

In Psalm 42, the psalmist was so deeply discouraged that he didn’t think he could go on. He says, “My heart is breaking.”
He felt forsaken, as though he was wandering in the darkness. He adds, “I’m oppressed by my enemies.
Their taunts pierce me like fatal wounds.”
He kept describing how bad it was, how he wasn’t going to make it.
When you let your feelings rule, you’ll start talking defeat and how it’s not going to work out.
Right when you thought the psalmist was going to give up, he wrote today’s Scripture.
He was talking to himself and saying, “Self, why are you discouraged and being ruled by your feelings?
Put your hope back in the Lord.
Start talking about how big your God is.”

You may feel sad and discouraged, you’ve been through some difficult things, but you have to talk back to your feelings.
You can’t keep a depressed attitude, a discouraged countenance, and expect things to get better.
Sometimes we’re waiting on God, but God is waiting on us to override what we feel and to believe what He says.

Arise ☀️

“The highways were deserted, and the travelers walked along the byways. Village life ceased, it ceased in Israel, until I, Deborah, arose, arose a mother in Israel.”

Judges 5:6-7, NKJV❣️

During the period of the judges, the Canaanites had oppressed the people of Israel for twenty years.
God raised up a prophetess named Deborah to judge Israel at this time in history when women were not in leadership, but were pushed down and seen as secondary.
She was Israel’s only female judge.
God put a dream in her heart to free her people from the Canaanites.
Sometimes God will ask you to do things that seem way over your head.
But deep down she understood this principle: “I’m not on my own.
The Lord my God has made me powerful.” She stepped out in faith, and God caused things to fall into place, everything turned around for the nation.

A lot of times we discount ourselves.
You have to change your thinking.
You have to know who you are as a child of God.
You have to know that He has made you powerful, not limited.
What addictions can you break, what barriers can you overcome, what dreams can you accomplish, if you start seeing yourself the way God made you to be?

Water Out Of A Rock 💖

“Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.”

Exodus 17:6, NKJV❣️

When God freed the two million Israelite slaves from Egypt and was leading them through the desert toward the Promised Land, there were no grocery stores or water faucets.
They began to complain, but God didn’t deliver them only to let them die of thirst.
He had Moses take his staff and strike a rock, and water poured out.
It was a supernatural provision.

Don’t be surprised if you face times when all the facts say, “You’ll always struggle, have debt, not enough.” God will allow situations where it looks impossible so He can show you His supernatural provision, but you have to trust Him.
The Scripture says, “He makes streams in the barren places, rivers in the desert.” There may be some things barren in your life.
You don’t see how it could ever change. No, get ready.
God’s about to strike the rock. You’re going to see provision you can’t explain, good breaks that don’t make sense, increase that defies the odds.
The same God who brought water out of a rock can cause abundance to come knocking on your door.

Bursting At The Seams💖

"Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense! For you will soon be bursting at the seams.”

Isaiah 54:2-3, NLT❣️

It may feel as though you’re stuck.
You don’t see how you can accomplish your dreams.
But God is not limited by your job, by your salary, by what family you come from.
He is saying to you what He said to the Israelites, “Soon you’re going to be bursting at the seams.” He is not always going to take you down a normal, traditional path.
You’re going to come into these times when He’s going to do something unusual, something out of the ordinary, something unprecedented, something that’s never happened in your family, never been done in your business.
He knows how to get you into overflow that is not just a little more of what you have; it’s a new dimension.
He’s going to give you resources, funds, opportunity like you never dreamed.
He has increase that you can’t contain, promotion that causes you to explode to a new level.
God has already ordained divine connections that will help you fulfill your purpose.
You don’t have to see how He will do it. All you have to do is believe.

Draw close ❤️

When you draw close to God, God will draw close to you.

James 4:8, TLB❣️

You may have thought that if you didn’t want anything to do with God, He’d say, “Fine. I’ll blow you off, too.
See if I ever help you.” God is not like that.
He’s as close as the breath you breathe. All you have to do is call out, to draw close to Him, and He’s right there.
He’s not holding the past against you. He’s not upset because you ignored Him. He’s not turned off because you didn’t believe in Him.
He waited when you were off course.
He waited when you had a bad attitude. He waited when you failed, when you were addicted, when you were compromising.
He showed you mercy.
He picked you up when you fell. He protected you when you chose the wrong friends.
He stopped the accident that could have taken you out.
He waited when you were upset because He didn’t answer your prayer.
He’s waiting for you now. His arms are opened wide.

Why don’t you draw close to Him now. He’s promised to draw close to you.

Brighter and Brighter ❤️

But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.

Proverbs 4:18, ESV❣️

It's interesting that some psychological studies have shown what’s called “the happiness curve.” That research showed that most people are happiest at twenty years old, then it gradually decreases until you’re fifty.
We often hear about people having a midlife crisis, being burned out, struggling to go on around the fifty-year low.
Then it starts going back up. MAt seventy, you’re as happy as you were at twenty.
But it doesn’t stop there.
It continues to rise.
After seventy, you’re happier and more fulfilled than you’ve ever been.

You may feel discouraged and struggling to find happiness today.
Some of what you’re fighting against can be the natural rhythms of life.
The people who stay happy, who don’t fall into a state of discouragement, who don’t go downhill, are the people who rule over their thoughts.
They are the people who keep their hopes up, the people who know that God is still on the throne.
Don’t believe the lies that you’ve seen your best days.
Remind yourself that today’s Scripture says your tomorrow will be better than today. Let that fuel your faith.
