Do You Like Yourself? 🤔

One thing that holds us back from seeing changes in our life is when we don’t love who we are.
If you’re not happy with the way God made you, there’s a constant battle going on inside—never feeling good enough always feeling wrong, with vague feelings of disapproval.
If you don’t learn to like yourself as you are, weaknesses and all, you’ll always feel like you should be better.
Added to the problem is that you have to live with you.
You can never get away from yourself. If you don’t like yourself, life is going to be miserable.

It’s very powerful when you can say, “I like myself.
Yes, I need to improve in some areas.
I need to do better.
But I’m at peace with who I am right now. I accept myself.
I approve myself.
am not a finished product.
God is in charge, and He’s still working on me, making me and molding me.
It is not just up to me.
I’m going to relax and enjoy life while God is in the process of changing me.”

Just Imagine! 🤙🏼

“…and now nothing they have imagined they can do will be impossible for them."

Genesis 11:6❤️

How often do you stop and think about what you are thinking about?
So often, people live with their minds on autopilot, taking in whatever thoughts come their way.
But if we are going to rise up higher the way God intends, we have to determine to make sure our thoughts line up with God’s thoughts.
Seven times in scripture God asks, “What do you see?” God is interested in our vision.
Before your dream comes to pass, you have to see yourself accomplishing that dream.
You’ve got to get a picture of it.
Before you lose the weight, before you break the addiction, you have to see it happening in your imagination.

Today, instead of thinking about your problems, think about God’s promises. Get a vision for what He has in store for your future.
Imagine yourself living in victory. Imagine yourself healed.
Imagine yourself walking in abundance. Imagine yourself blessing other people. Just imagine what God has in store for you because nothing is impossible with Him!🤙🏼

Proofs of the Pudding❤️

“If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.”

1 John 2:29

The little book of 1 John provides a treasure trove of “proofs” that demonstrate the reality of the invisible spiritual change brought about by the new birth.

There are two emphases: proofs based on personal experience and proofs based on intellectual awareness.

Here is a short list of proofs we experience:

• Obedience to God’s commandments (1 John 2:2-5)
• Experience of God in our lives (1 John 2:13-14)
• Obvious “antichrists” in the world (1 John 2:18)
• Worldly ignorance of Christianity (1 John 3:1)
• Sinners’ ignorance of righteousness (1 John 3:6)
• Our love for fellow Christians (1 John 3:16-18)
• The indwelling Holy Spirit (1 John 4:13)
• Our love for godly behavior (1 John 5:2)

Here are proofs we have intellectual confidence in:

• The Holy Spirit’s anointing (1 John 2:20)
• The holiness of Jesus Christ (1 John 2:29)
• The Father’s love for us (1 John 3:1)
• Our eternal bodies to be like Christ (1 John 3:2)
• Hating a brother is like murder (1 John 3:15)
• Scripture’s message of eternal life (1 John 5:13)
• Assurance that we belong to God (1 John 5:19)
• Assurance that Christ has come (1 John 5:20)

These evidences are primarily for the believer—that is, they are intended to assure the believer’s heart and mind of his security in Christ.
John’s list is not intended to be complete but only to focus our thoughts on the obvious.
When you count your blessings, remember these.

Faith Increased

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

Luke 17:5❤️

When Jesus told His disciples they were going to have to forgive someone who wronged them seven times a day, meaning to continually forgive, their immediate response was, “Lord, increase our faith!”
They knew that based upon the opposition and the offenses that Jesus faced, they would face the same.
They didn’t say, “Lord, increase our faith so we can do bigger miracles, and increase our faith so we have a larger vision.”
They asked Him to increase their faith so they could forgive the wrongs, let go of the offenses, and keep the toxins out.

Sometimes it takes more faith to keep your heart free from impurities than it does to accomplish a dream.
We’re praying for faith for a breakthrough, faith for a new level, and that’s good.
But have you ever prayed, as these disciples did, “God, increase my faith so I can let go of the hurts.
Increase my faith so I can forgive the person who betrayed me.
Increase my faith so I can keep my heart pure and move forward with my life”? That’s a key to living free.

Back to Wholeness 🤙🏼

He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.”

Genesis 3:10❣️

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they immediately felt guilty and hid. They went from loving God to being afraid.
They lost their innocence, their joy, their wholeness.
Too often, we do the same.
We make a mistake, have a disappointment or a broken relationship, and we go into hiding.
You can lose part of yourself.
Things happen that have taken your joy, limited your vision, stopped your creativity.
Now you’ve settled in that area.
You’re not pursuing your dreams, not enjoying your family, not passionate about life.

God is saying, “Come out of hiding and go back to who I created you to be.
Let Me love you back to wholeness and give you a new beginning.”
Get your fire back, get your dream back. No more isolating, checking out, pretending to be there but not engaging.
This is a new day. ☀️
That lost part of you is coming back—the creative you, the outgoing you, the compassionate you, the generous you, the successful you, the victorious you. You haven’t seen the best version of you yet. It’s still in front of you.🤙🏼

Two Kinds Of Faith ❤️

Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants!
They trusted in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.”

Daniel 3:28❣️

In the book of Daniel, because three Hebrew teenagers refused to bow down to the king’s golden statue, they were thrown into a fiery furnace.
They said, “The God we serve is able to deliver us from the fire, but even if He does not, we will not worship the image of gold.”
Miraculously, they not only survived, but they came out unharmed and without even the smell of smoke.

There are two kinds of faith.
There’s delivering faith, when our all-powerful God instantly takes you out of the problem, keeps you out of the fire, parts the Red Sea.
Then there’s sustaining faith, when God makes you fireproof and takes you through the fire as the pathway to your destiny.
Most of the time, you’re going to need sustaining faith for when you don’t see anything improving, when the opposition’s bigger.
The good news is that God is sustaining and strengthening you through the trouble, through the sickness, through the breakup.
Stay in peace. Trust Him that you’re in the middle of your miracle.
You’re going to come out without the smell of smoke.

Enough Is Enough 🤙🏼

I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”

Exodus 3:7-8❤️

The Israelites had been in slavery for 400 years.
Ten generations had been mistreated, abused, and oppressed, though they’d done nothing wrong.
Because the Egyptians had a strong army and weapons, it looked like the Israelites would never be free.
But God said, “Enough is enough. You couldn’t do anything about it, but I’m coming down to break the chains, deliver you, and bring you into the Promised Land.”

You may be struggling with something that you can look back and see has been passed down to you through generations of your family—an addiction, depression, poverty, guilt, shame, anxiety, insecurity.
God knows the negative things you inherited and the results of being raised in a difficult environment.
You’ve carried the weight of what was passed down and borne the consequences of other people’s actions long enough.
God is going to deliver you from generational baggage and the unfair things in your family line.
It’s your time to be free.
You are a slave to nothing. Believe that your release has already happened in the unseen realm and is on the way.
