👏 Lakewood Elementary is currently the #1 elementary campus in Dallas ISD for total library circulation — AND #1 across all district campuses! 🥇📖

And our Lakewood readers are part of an exciting trend happening across Dallas ISD. So far this year, students districtwide have checked out:

📈 Physical book circulation is up 21% from last year

What keeps a neighborhood tradition thriving year after year? The people who show up. ❤️

Lakewood neighbors filled the streets to run, ride, decorate, volunteer, cheer, reconnect, and celebrate together at the Fourth of July Parade. 💙

This year’s “Party Like It’s 1776” theme brought extra meaning as the community marked America’s 250th birthday. 🤍

Most of all, the day was a reminder that Lakewood traditions belong to every generation. Thank you to everyone who helped make another Fourth unforgettable. 🎉
