Today at DPW - Dallas Professional Women, we had the privilege of hearing from Lori Lane-Dixon as our Spotlight Speaker at our monthly Lean In lunch and what a gift it was!
When people hear the word "publisher," they often think of someone who simply helps put words on paper. But Lori is so much more than that.
Lori shared her mission of helping women amplify their stories, and throughout the room you could see the impact she has had on countless lives. Her work goes beyond publishing books—she helps people uncover their voice, find confidence in their experiences, and transform personal stories into meaningful movements that inspire others.
What stood out most was Lori's commitment to community, collaboration, and thought partnership. She doesn't just help people tell their stories; she walks alongside them as they discover the power those stories hold. Through her academy, coaching, retreats, and publishing programs, Lori teaches aspiring authors how to write, communicate, and share their message in ways that create lasting impact.
Our Lean In Lunch also gave us the opportunity to practice the LeanIn framework of sharing, supporting, and strengthening one another through authentic conversation. The room was filled with encouragement, connection, and women genuinely looking for ways to help one another succeed.
If you've ever thought about writing a book, sharing your journey, documenting your expertise, or revealing one of the many stories life has given you, I encourage you to connect with Lori. She has an upcoming retreat that promises to be an incredible experience for anyone ready to move from idea to impact.
Sometimes all it takes is permission to begin. Lori helps people find that permission—and then teaches them how to turn it into a movement.
Thank you, Lori, for reminding us that our stories matter, our voices matter, and that the experiences we've lived through may be exactly what someone else needs to hear!
