Dear Mimi Lenox and Peace Blogger Family,
I hope this message and my 2024 submission finds you all well. I truly hope you’ll see the intent behind my work, even if it might differ from the usual tone. My enthusiasm is tempered by a deep sense of the contradictions we often live by—holding peace as an ideal while sidestepping the hard truths it requires. I fear I may disappoint with this perspective, but it’s one I feel called to express.
With respect and gratitude for the movement you’ve built,
Jaqi Kioni
“Holding the Light” for the Perfection of Peace | My 2024 Peace Globe
Peace is a fallacy. We prove it every day. We talk about harmony, but our true love lies in chaos, destruction, and separation. We value concepts of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion—beautiful in theory, but abandoned in practice. Our fascination with discord runs deeper, revealing how little we care for genuine unity.
We’re afraid—terrified, actually—of something that doesn’t even exist. The fears we cling to, the false divisions we build, are illusions we hide behind, unwilling to confront what peace would actually demand of us. We’re so invested in this charade that the light of peace remains distant, a faint glimmer obscured by our own contradictions.
Maybe it’s time to let go. Maybe it’s time to let something greater move us toward our highest good. Tomorrow’s final Election Day feels like a chance—a breath of positive feminine energy that could carry us forward, into a new kind of peace. I’ll dwell in that hope, in that possibility. That works for me.
So dear and , as we hold this light together, may we embrace the truth: peace is a relentless futile pursuit. But we do carry the potential to bridge our divisions, to overcome chaos, and to step into a higher vision of unity. This year, let each of us not only hope for peace but commit to becoming its fierce guardians, holding the light steady until we truly decide to make harmony our reality. May this be the year we move with intention into action—because true peace can not be ours to create unless Kingdom comes first. Please prove me wrong and do something to make our hunger for real.
Sorry to disappoint. But I have no enthusiasm for the lies we keep telling each other. ✌🏽
