Our last big adventure before heading home is a day trip to Mount Fuji, and honestly, I think a guided bus tour is one of the best ways to experience it. We’re visiting some of the most iconic spots you’ve probably seen all over social media and travel guides.
Our first stop is Lake Yamanaka, where you can often spot swans gliding across the water with Mount Fuji towering in the background.
Next, we head to Oshino Hakkai, a beautiful village known for its crystal clear spring water that comes directly from the snowmelt of Mount Fuji.
After that, we stop at the famous Lawson convenience store photo spot, one of the most recognizable Mount Fuji views online.
Then we make our way to Lake Kawaguchiko and Oishi Park, where colorful seasonal flowers frame the mountain perfectly. We also treated ourselves to some delicious local ice cream made with ingredients harvested right from the region.
To finish the day, we visited two of the most iconic viewpoints of the entire trip. First was Chureito Pagoda, the famous five story pagoda overlooking Mount Fuji. And our final stop was the Hikawa Clock Shop area, where the traditional Japanese streets seem to lead directly to the mountain, creating one of the most stunning views we’ve seen all trip.
Six unforgettable stops, countless photos, and the perfect way to say goodbye to Japan.” 🗻🇯🇵✨
