Early morning flight to Houston to attend the LexTalk World Conference where I joined industry peers to share insights on litigation strategy, case valuation, and settlement outcomes as well as presented several awards! I had the best time connecting with incredible minds in the industry, and now heading back to Dallas — all in a day’s work.

Grateful for the opportunity to be in rooms where ideas are shared, perspectives are challenged, and growth is inevitable. As a civil litigation defense attorney, these moments outside the courtroom are just as meaningful as the ones inside.

Long travel day, but absolutely worth it. ✈️

Welcome to A Day In The Life Of A Civil Litigation Lawyer. ⚖️

Not gonna lie, the days are crazy and the nights are even crazier. But I love it here… most of the time.

I’ve been working on a pretty wild summary judgment that I’m hoping will end a case before it ever sees a jury. But now that I can have coffee again - although, I kinda miss Ramadan - I’m also making time to connect with the young associates in my office and check in on their work loads.

Thanks for spending the day with me. It’s always nice to have company. ❤️

If you’ve been dying to spend the afternoon with me, here’s your chance.

Observing Ramadan while working as a full-time attorney + keeping a toddler alive is not for the weak.

Between court deadlines, emails, client calls, and toddler negotiations that somehow feel more intense than depositions, the fasting part might actually be the easiest thing on the list.

Somehow, Ramadan always finds a way to slow things down just enough to remind me what matters most — faith, family, patience, and a lot of grace (for myself and for everyone around me).

So if you see me running on zero caffeine, zero water, and approximately three hours of sleep… just know I’m doing my best. And counting down the minutes to iftar. 🌙
