Rep. Jasmine Crockett has officially filed to run for the U.S. Senate in Texas, introducing a major shift to the Democratic primary just hours before the state’s filing deadline. Crockett’s decision comes as her Dallas-area House district was significantly altered in a GOP-led mid-decade redistricting effort that reconfigured political lines across North Texas.
