The expectation that people must share every detail of their lives on social media to prove their authenticity is ridiculous. Sometimes, it's essential to put down our devices and engage in the real world. I've performed many acts of kindness without announcing them online, and I've achieved personal successes without feeling the need to share them on social media. We shouldn't feel compelled to justify our actions to others, particularly strangers.
