Today is the — a day that means many things to many people. I am deeply patriotic and grateful for the freedoms we enjoy, but I won’t be posting traditional red, white, and blue photos today.

Instead, I’m honoring this day through a different lens — by sharing a song that holds deep personal meaning for me: “ ” 💜🎼 by . This song tells a powerful story about breaking free from domestic abuse, at any cost. I saw my mother, aunts, cousins and friends live through it. I’ve lived through it myself [NO LONGER CRIPPLED BY SHAME TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT PART OF MY LIFE]. And while it may not be the typical way to mark this holiday, for me, this song is about finding the strength to reclaim your voice, your safety, and your freedom — in EVERY sense of the word.

So today, I’m celebrating that kind of independence. For survivors. For the brave. For those still finding their way out. 🇺🇸💔➡️❤️‍🩹➡️💪🏼 ⛓️‍💥

The dilemma continues, 35+ years later.

So this is the Klymaxx band the fans want to hear? A band COVERING songs? Because that’s what it is. No one in Cooley’s band sang on any original hit records. is still very much alive & well and quite capable of singing the songs she led. This page and this business does NOT support those (Cheryl Cooley) who consistently change song credits, edit shares so that she and her shadow companies gain money from work never done and we certainly don’t support anyone who, 20+ years later, continue to legally pursue being the only original band member who can use the name *Klymaxx* to perform and earn a living. Cooley was the guitarist. She did not form the band; Drummer, did. And she definitely didnt sing, "I Miss You" or "I'd Still Say Yes". One question for Cheryl Cruely, “Why do you feel YOU should possess sole ownership of the band name/brand when all 6 original members were granted the right to use it?” That wasn’t good enough for you. Why? That’s the mystery question.
