7 months into motherhood and sometimes I look at my life and think… how is this the same thing I was once so scared I wasn’t ready for? 🥹🤍

Finding out I was pregnant wasn’t part of the plan at the time, and I remember having SO many thoughts about whether I was ready, how much my life was about to change, and who I would become once I was someone’s mom.

Now I look at my son and genuinely can’t imagine my life without him.

My favorite thing about motherhood so far is realizing that every new stage teaches me something I couldn’t have learned before living it.

A little more patience.
A little more presence.
A little more trust in myself.
And a completely new version of who I am.

These are a few of the things I wish I could go back and tell the girl who had just found out she was going to be a mom.

And if you’re a little behind me in your journey, consider them my little reminder to you that you don’t have to have it all figured out before the season begins. Sometimes the season is what teaches you. 🤍

I’m still SO new to motherhood and have so much left to learn, but I’m really grateful I get to share what I’m learning along the way with you girly

When we started dating when I was 15, we had NO idea how to build a healthy long-term relationship.

We loved each other, but we didn’t know how to communicate, handle conflict, forgive, or grow through different seasons together.

So over the last almost 10 years, we’ve had to learn those things as we went.

We learned that being in love isn’t enough on its own.

That communication is a skill.

That avoiding hard conversations doesn’t actually keep the peace.

That the person you love can disappoint you AND still be someone worth choosing.

And that both of you are going to change, so you have to keep learning how to love each new version of each other.

I think that’s the part of long-term relationships I wish I understood at 15..

You don’t have to start out knowing how to build something healthy.

You just both have to be willing to keep learning how.

I share what I’ve learned about long-term relationships, not as a relationship expert, but as someone who’s spent almost 10 years learning how to build one with the same person.

I used to think every day feeling the same meant I needed something BIG to change.

A new trip.
A new routine.
A new season.
Something exciting to finally happen.

But a lot of the time I was just moving through my normal days on autopilot and waiting for the next big thing to give me something to look forward to.

So I started getting more intentional about making ordinary life feel good too.

Trying new things.
Changing up my environment.
Making plans during the week.
Giving myself little things to look forward to.
Actually doing the things I always said I’d do “someday.”

And I’ve realized I don’t need my whole life to change for it to feel exciting again.

There will always be another vacation, milestone, goal, or season ahead.

I just don’t want to miss the life happening in between them. 🤍

I spent YEARS trying to figure out how to become more confident, stop caring so much about what other people thought, and actually feel good about who I was becoming.

Somewhere along the way, I started finding books, podcasts, and creators that helped me understand myself differently and actually put some of the things I was learning into practice.

These are a few of the resources that stood out to me the most and that I still come back to. 🤍

Save this for the next time you need a little mindset reset, and let me know if you want me to share more of the things that have helped me along the way.
