Ahmed Muhammad, an 18-year old student from Oakland, California, has made history as the first Black male to graduate as valedictorian in his school, Oakland Technical High School.Muhammad, with a remarkable 4.73 GPA, is both valedictorian and a star athlete on the Bulldogs'' basketball team.Accepted to 11 top universities, including Harvard, Princeton, UC Berkeley, and Columbia, he plans to major in engineering or computer science, still deciding on his
''dream school'' Stanford.

Megan Piphus Peace became the first Black woman puppeteer on Sesame Street in 2020, and has played the role of Gabrielle, a 6-year-old Black girl Muppet, since 2021.
Piphus has been a puppeteer since she was young, and was inspired by female performers at a puppetry conference.

She has performed in Cincinnati and around the country, and has also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and America''s Got Talent.
