The war Cambodia never started is stealing the lives it never offered.

Thailand claims defense, but the charred remains of Cambodian villages tell a different story. This is an occupation — and one that is slaughtering the very people who had no part in the politics behind it. As journalists, we have a duty to bear witness and speak truth to power. And the truth is clear: Thailand’s actions must cease before more Cambodian blood is spilled. Before more children are buried beneath rubble instead of tucked into bed.

Peaceful villages. Buddhist temples. Cambodian children. All under fire.

Thailand’s actions are no longer confined to border patrols or disputed landmarks. Temples have been desecrated. Monks displaced. Children killed. Cambodia’s religious and cultural sanctuaries are being torn apart in a campaign of destruction disguised as defense. We must call this what it is: an unprovoked assault. This war is not just about land, it’s about power. And the innocent are being crushed beneath it.
