CELTIC FROST SURPRISE MEMORIAL WEEKEND REUNION!

The legendary Swiss heavy metal group CELTIC FROST, popular in the 1980s and early 1990s, regrouped for a special performance over the weekend. Original members included; drummer Reed St. Mark, lead throat Tom Gabriel Fischer, guitarists Ron Marks, and V. Santura.

The reunion took place over Memorial Day weekend, at the "MARYLAND DEATHFEST." CELTIC FROST formed in 1984, and disbanded in 2008, after several incarnations of the group. Leaving it's mark over the years, the group had such commercial hits such as "CHERRY ORCHARDS, and "MEXICAN RADIO."

Singer TOM GABRIEL FISCHER, continues his career as frontman of the bands TRIPTYKON, and TRIUMPH OF DEATH. Meanwhile, Guitarist RON MARKS, announced his new single "VELVET VALLEY" dropping June 3rd via DSN Music. The group reunion was unknown to fans, performing right after TRIPTYKON's "MARYLAND DEATHFEST" set. JUDAS PRIEST DOCUMENTARY COMING TO NETFLIX THIS SUMMER!

NETFLIX has officially confirmed the upcoming release of "Priest: Defenders of the Faith", a highly anticipated music documentary chronicling the monumental rise, influence, and resilience of JUDAS PRIEST, the legendary British heavy metal band. The documentary will premiere globally on August 16, 2025, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the band’s landmark album "Defenders of the Faith".

Known for their dual-guitar assault, leather-and-studs aesthetic, and powerhouse vocals led by ROB HALFORD, Judas Priest didn’t just help shape the sound of heavy metal — they revolutionized its identity. "Priest: Defenders of the Faith" promises a **compelling and in-depth exploration** of the band’s decades-long journey, from their roots in Birmingham’s industrial heartland to their global status as genre icons.

The multi-part documentary, directed by acclaimed filmmaker SAM DUNN ("Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey", "Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage"), features exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, rare archival interviews, and full-access coverage of recent world tours. The series is being co-produced by BANGER FILMS and NETFLIX, in collaboration with the band and Sony Music.

SAMMY HAGAR'S NEW TRIBUTE TO EDDIE VAN HALEN SINGLE!

The legendary "Red Rocker" himself SAMMY HAGAR has released a new single, in tribute to his former VAN HALEN bandmate EDDIE VAN HALEN. The track titled "ENCORE, THANK YOU, GOOD NIGHT" - which Hagar claims was based on a dream. "I can't wait for the world to hear this very special song Joe and I wrote as a long overdue thank you to Eddie Van Halen for the music, the good times, and the dream that inspired this track" Hagar said on social media.

The stand alone single, which made its debut on D-Rock radio last week, just as Hagar kicked off his "BEST OF BOTH WORLDS" Las Vegas residency. “About two months ago, I had this dream and Eddie came. We were in a room like this, with a bunch of people around. It was just like he’d been gone. It was not like he was passed, but he had just been out of my life and we hadn’t seen each other for a while," Hagar said.

"ENCORE, THANK YOU, GOOD NIGHT" co-written between Hagar, and guitarist JOE SATRIANI, spawned from Hagar’s vivid dream featuring the fellow artist. A tribute to VAN HALEN, with instrumental assistance from MICHAEL ANTHONY, and KENNY ARONOFF.

VINCE NEIL'S PLANE CRASHES IN ARIZONA!

A plane owned by MÖTLEY CRÜE singer VINCE NEIL, was involved in a fatal accident in Scottsdale, Arizona earlier today. According to authorities, one person was killed when a Learjet 35A veered off the runway and crashed into a Gulfstream 200 business jet on the ramp at Scottsdale Municipal Airport.

In addition to the deceased, one person was trapped inside one of the planes for an extended period of time, while three others were taken to local hospitals with injuries.

Neil was not aboard the plane during the accident but the singer’s girlfriend, RAIN HANNAH, who was on the plane, sustained five broken ribs. Her friend Ashley was also on board, and was hospitalized, as well. The pair were traveling with a couple of dogs who survived the crash. The identity of the deceased has not been released as of yet.

BLACK SABBATH TO UNITE FOR ONE FINAL SHOW!

The groundbreaking heavy metal group BLACK SABBATH, with original lineup, have announced one final concert and chapter of their career. BLACK SABBATH will headline "The Back to the Beginning" show on July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. The event will happen in OZZY OSBOURNE's hometown, as he will be joined by original members TONY IOMMI, GEEZER BUTLER, and BILL WARD.

"It’s my time to go back to the beginning … time for me to give back to the place where I was born," Osbourne said in a statement. "How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham forever." Osbourne has been battling a series of health issues over the past few years, including a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis. In 2019, he suffered a fall that aggravated an old spinal injury, requiring a number of intensive surgeries.

"The Back to the Beginning" will be the first time BLACK SABBATH will be together for a performance in 20 years. Proceeds from the show will go to charities including Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice.

VETERAN GUITARIST JOHN SYKES DEAD AT AGE 65

Another true "Legend of Rock" has passed, as famed English guitarist JOHN SYKES, has died at age 65, after a battle with cancer.

Known for his blistering leads on classic metal groups such as WHITESNAKE, THIN LIZZY, BLUE MURDER, TYGERS OF PAN TANG, and SYKES. He was also a writer, co-wrote nine of the tracks on WHITESNAKE's 1987 album "WHITESNAKE", including mega-hits "STILL OF THE NIGHT" and "IS THIS LOVE?"
