I’ve learned that to attract and maintain high-value friendships, you need to be self-sufficient. Even if you’re still in the process of becoming, make sure you bring something to the table that money can’t buy — things like genuine prayers, timely encouragement, and the ability to celebrate others' wins as if they were your own.

Don’t be the one who always takes but never gives; relationships like that rarely end well. And if people distance themselves from the toxicity, don’t blame them — take accountability.

The truth is, if you can’t offer even the bare minimum in a friendship, it likely won’t last. This is just one part of what it takes to build meaningful and lasting relationships.
